Jim Wyatt said on twitter that CJ does not want Manning/Brady money.

So Mike wants him at like $10mil, and CJ wants about $13 mil. So $10-13 mil, why not just settle at $11.5 per year.

4 year/46 mil deal. Get it done.

Makes him the 12th highest paid player in the NFL, and the #1 RB.

Oh yea? Then why couldn't John Elway win the 3 Super Bowls before Terrell Davis showed up?

I agree with everyone on how special a player CJ is. I think he is incredibly valuable to our offense.

BUT he is not worth the money he is rumored to be asking for. No RB is worth that. Everyone who is saying he is worth a record breaking deal or top QB money is delusional. He is a RB and that is replaceable.

I'd offer to make him the top paid back in the league. Nothing more.

Honestly we wouldn't be having this conversation if the Titans would have signed Blount last year.

Yea zone blocking helps RB's and we do zone block so we probably could do alright without C.J. but still, he's too good NOT to have. Why can't the Titans EVER have a Super Star? Let us have the Michale Jordan of football. The dancing around is what absolutely KILLS C.J. sometimes behind OUR line. And I see Jamie Harper having that same issue, he wants to move laterally too often like C.J. does.

Davis was an average back that was made better by Elway. Not the other way around. Davis had one amazing year and a couple other decent ones.

A good RB can be made elite by a great QB and strong downfield passing attack.

    See Arian Foster.

Average player with over inflated stats because of the offense he was in.

Uh okay but explain then why one of the best QB's ever couldn't seal the deal in 3 Super Bowls? Davis made it happen for Denver, just like C.J. makes it happen for us. How many games do we win over the past 2 years without C.J.? I'd think our record would be something like 8-24 if C.J. wasn't a Titan.

Titans wouldn't have ANY of those things without CJ.

Davis was the missing piece in Denver no doubt. My problem with CJ is that this team is rebuilding.

CJ has three to four good years left in him at best. If we were close to getting over the hump and about to make a run I'd say pay CJ whatever he wants. The thing is we are not.

By the time the Titans are relevant again CJ will be passed his prime. Why break the bank for a player that will not get us where we need to be?

We are building for the future. Honestly if we could pick up a 1st and 3rd for him in a trade I'd be happy.

Lets wait if the Titans make a 10 to 11 mil offer and Cj says no(which is highly unlikely)then I'm open for trades.
