What you mean the awkward moment and then "ZOMG AWKWARD MOMENT GETS CALLED BACK IN THE END AND BACKFIRES ON LARRY" joke? LOL, I still love the hell out of that show though. It's really gone downhill the past few seasons but still rather entertaining IMO. The first 3 or 4 seasons were pure gold though. Sometimes I wish American television would take a cue from the Brits and end BEFORE the show is run completely into the ground.

As for RSB's original Q about Dexter S5, yeah it's definitely not the greatest. But if you're a Dexter fan it's still a must-watch. I mostly agree with Alex's season ranking of "4-1-2-3-5", 'cept I might would swap 1 for 4. Dexter's my favorite non-comedy show on television right now. Although, Walking Dead and/or Boardwalk Empire may possibly surpass it with stellar second seasons.

Just watched the the pilot (of Dexter) with my mom and, surprisingly, she really liked it.

Idk Sawdust, 4 was hands down the best IMO. The first has a lot more killings (Dexter's killings), but I thought season 4 had the most twists, a lot more drama, and the best performance the show has seen in Lithgow.

If only the average Dexter fan knew he was the voice of Lord Farquad haha.

Sucks to hear that about Curb... I've only seen the first four seasons of it (and loved every bit of it). I'm planning on watching 5,6,7 over the next couple of months. Season 8 is already a few weeks in, I believe. I don't have any premium channels though.

Did not like BSG new or old. My fave Sci fi is Star trek Next generation Star Trek DS9 & Firefly.

I certainly won't argue with you. It's so close for me I could pick 1 one day and then 4 the next. I agree Lithgow freaking OWNED. Love that guy.

Don't get me wrong, it's still very, very funny and well worth watching. It's just not quite the same the past couple seasons. FWIW, it's still one of the shows I most look forward to each year (or two years, as was the case with the current season)

The first half of 24's first season was good. Then they turned that chick the hero worked with into the villain and that made a lot of the story not make sense. Season2 didn't improve and I quit watching at some point.

Weeds I've seen every episode and continue to watch although I don't know why. I HATE Nancy Botwin, she is scum of the earth! Ok that may be a little harsh but there it is. The first 2 seasons were very funny, then they went too big and too crazy and it just doesn't work. I don't even remember laughing watching any of this season.

Breaking Bad I only watched like 1 episode and barely remember so maybe I'm not giving a fair shot.

I have a friend that told me to go back and watch the office from the beginning and try to marathon view it... maybe I'll do that but what I've seen just never appealed to me.

As far as BSG, I think you have to watch the miniseries (2hours) and the first episode "33" (1hour) and if you don't like the show at that point you might as well give up. "33" is the finest hour of television I've ever seen.

Firefly is my 2nd favorite sci-fi series behind BSG. That was another great show although completely different. The Whedon humor worked great in Firefly.

Breaking Bad must be watched in order, from the beginning.
There's really nothing like it on TV.
I'm a HUGE Jesse Pinkman fan. He's like watching a house burn down - can't look away.
Much love for Saul Goodman and Mike the Hitman as well.
Occasionally you get characters like these in movies - for 100 minutes.
With BB you get season after season of awesome.

You guys nailed it with Breaking Bad... I'm currently on the 3rd season.

Alex, the show was hyped by so many of my friends. After watching the first couple episodes of the 1st season, I liked it, but it hadn't met my expectations from the hype the show was getting.

Now, it has surpassed all my expectations. The acting is as good as advertised and the best on basic cable TV. As you progress through the seasons you'll find that the closing minutes of the episodes will keep you wanting more. The conclusions are simply perfect.

Give it more of a chance, and I'll give BSG a fighting chance as well.
