I wasn't impressed with Chuy's but I have some friends that really like it. I liked the boom boom sauce quite a bit.

Never been to Chuy's because I figured it would be horrible.

My favorite Mexican restaurant is Garcia's on 96 in Franklin.

If there aren't live chickens walking around in the lobby, it's not good Mexican food.

    Fact.

Jeez, I live in the wrong country. We're lucky to have one Mexican place in the state.

haha there are at least 20 in my small town.

Though, the town is probably 20% hispanic, also... makes a difference.

But dude. I go to this one place for Fajitas and they give me a full rotisserie chicken for it... best thing ever. Like 7 bucks. haha

There's one little place here that does that. I call it the "junk burrito."

It looks like they empty a garbage can into a tortilla, but it is delicious.

LOL - my Aussie friends came over and spent 2 years in Florida (around 95 maybe?). At the time they had never heard of Taco Bell. One night after some scandalous Rock n Roll I suggested stopping off at "The Bell" drive-thru for some nachos and tacos. Their response was pretty similar to yours here.

It was like watching wolves eat raw meat. I stopped by their house a day or two later and there was no less than 20 Taco Bell bags in the trash.
They were obsessed with that stuff until the day they had to go back..

They went back to Melbourne and started my favorite Aussie metal -Frankenbok...

There is some Christian angle to Chuy's. It's some sort of mexi-food church.
This is why it's so popular here..
