Does this guy have the brains to be even that? He's the one and only pick I'm still not thrilled with.

I'm really just going off of what the scouts and draft experts were saying. Most were really hard on him about his tackling and avoidance of contact, but almost all of them said he was good in coverage. Perhaps that's the reason we drafted him since we've been so bad in that area?

I'm with you though, I would have taken Konz there for sure. That would have, in my opinion, helped a lot more than taking Brown there.

This draft really has me wondering about Ruston Webster. Since the guy arrived in TN, I've always looked at him as a great scout, but as GM, I'm not so sure he should hold that job. I hope I'm wrong about some of these rookies we drafted. They've all done a great job so far. And up til the draft I loved everything Webster said, but when he took Brown when we had major needs and great options, I was confused.

If Brown becomes the next Keith Bulluck then fantastic, but I don't feel he will. But we'll see. I wont knock the guy for anything just yet.

He wont. He'll suck. Just like Ayers does.

Same type of player, Zach Brown is just worse.

Still pray I'm wrong- but if it looks, walks, and talks like a duck...

Any QB having to play for Fisher deserves that kind of money. A third of it will need to go on a shrink.

Akeem Ayers does qualify to be described as a player who sucks by any definition of the word.

Ruston Webster was an intricate part of the 2011 draft and has been for some time now. Now that he makes the final decision is probably a minor change from what has been done in the past.

It was a great pick because he has upside. People say he is not physical. Others say he is. He should be a great compliment to the LB corps as a pass coverage guy, alongside McCarthy as the great tackler & Ayers as the pass rush LB.

I saw an interview with Brown addressing his "allergic to contact" criticism, he said in college he was coached to run around blockers instead of taking them head on, because of his speed. That's a legit explaination IMO if it's true.

Can you explain what you mean by this?

I'm not seeing the similarities. I mean, they are both linebackers. We can all see that. But beyond that, one is very much a SLB and the other is very much a WLB. They are not interchangeable at all.

Maybe you mean "same type of player" in regards to their attitude or something?
