Being a soccer/football fan, and remember how the Titans fanbase rocked the place upon it's first arrival, I dream about having a crazy stadium atmosphere.

Back in 99-2002 we had the best home field advantage in the NFL. As soon as we had an off year or two, it vanished and never came back. Now there are "text this number to snitch on someone for yelling" rules and people that merely want to sit the entire time in silence.

My question is- why can't NFL fans be more like Euro football fans? They have half the people in the stadiums. Even MLS has great tifo and whatnot.

Anyone remember the chants at Adelphia? Eddie, Eddie, Eddie... Al.... Del... Greco!... all those? Provided us with something different. Got the fans involved.

We need some crazy sonofabich to lead and get this fanbase fired up again. I want the days back when we created offsides penalties constantly. Even when our fans traveled to Indy for the playoffs we out-yelled their home team. (super bowl year, I believe)

Our home field advantage has vanished because it seems more like a tennis atmosphere.

^I say we just go this route. Let's do it.

I can't even stand up without the person behind me telling me to sit down. Never going to happen.

    Sad.

Here's the thing though- before long, people aren't going to have much incentive to go to live games. I'd bet it almost dies out, even. It's a crazy thought but the way TV is evolving, I expect it.

So all that'll be left are the real fans. And those fans can get as crazy as they want. Then it'll be the atmosphere that becomes the incentive to attend. Creating... better atmosphere.

Whooo... only 20 years from now!

Thats because tickets are getting to be so damn expensive nothing but stuffed shirts show up.
It wont be long until the only ones who can afford seats are corporations who hand them out to customers and the salesman of the month.

San Fran is a perfect example.

    I wish you were exaggerating...

I stood up one time... Watched Kerry Collins try to throw it out of bounds and throw a pick6 instead.. I stand up and scream.. WHAT IN THE H3LL WAS THAT!!?|?? Guy taps me on shoulder and says.. "Sir, could you not use foul language, I'm here with my wife."

    True story.. South endzone

I was at a game recently where all the guy was doing was heckling the opposing team (on their sideline). OUR fans reported him, saying he was being rude and too loud and he got kicked out. What's wrong with people!?

I'm glad you brought up how roudy soccer fans/players can be. I personally don't like anything about the sport, but there is one thing I LOVE. It's when their team scores the fans go CRAZY. And the team that scores can celebrate as much as they want to and NOBODY takes their celebrations as taunting.

I think it would be a great thing for the NFL to allow any type of celebration as long as the play clock is set right after the play, so the game isn't hindered and the celebrating team doesn't taunt the other team. Can you imagine fan bases and players having bragging rights over having the best celebration!? What could be better advertisement for the league?

Titans do have calmer fans. But I've been to cleveland for a browns/steelers game, and it was thoroughly hostile there.

I'd rather have it the way it is in Nashville. Visiting fans are less obnoxious when home fans aren't obnoxious. Not the most rowdy crowd, but you can be pretty sure you won't get shanked at a Titans game.

    Since you are criticizing....

Are you a season ticket holder? Do you go to the games?

If not, you've got nothing to complain about because you are part of the problem.

I like going to the occasional game, but quite honestly, I'd really just as soon watch the games at home. It is FAR FAR cheaper, more convenient and I can actually see what's going on, unlike all but the best seats in the stadium.
