Obviously Heath Ledger was the star of The Dark Knight, which overshadowed Harvey Dent's brillance. Not only a great performance, but you can say Eckhart's Two Face is argubably the greatest villain transformation on the big screen. Both original Joker and Nolan's Joker were done right, but Batman Forever's Two face was stupid while in Nolan's version we get to see his full transformation in great, painful detail.

    Been saying this.

I was pissed when they killed his character.

I would have loved to see Bane's "No Man's Land" Gotham with Scarecrow, Two Face and Joker running wild.

Of course his death was needed for the plot...

I still say Nolan had an amazing third film in his head that he had to change drastically after the death of Ledger.

    Favorite thing ever.

When goes after the crooked cop at the bar.

He takes the shot and the alcohol runs out the open, festering side of his face.

    He doesn't flinch.

    and.... this

Yeah, there's no way The Joker wasn't a vital part of TDKR, and as talented of an actor Tom Hardy is, especially with expressions alone, I think wearing the mask the entire movie was sorta a "ball and chain" that kept Bane from being an amazing solo villain.

Speaking of Scarecrow, I thought he was pretty cool in Batman Begins and wish he had gotten more screen time.

Even the first teaser of Two Face, where the captive Dent is in the warehouse and only half of his face while the other half is covered in gasoline, was brilliant, I remember my entire theater started cheering when that happened.

    Meh. He was ok.

I think the problem is- the character looked too silly to be taken seriously with that stupid cgi face.

The scene with Two Face in the hospital with Joker dressed as a nurse... probably the most powerful scene in the entire movie.

    Batman who?
