I hate to make another one of these threads after everyone hated the Branch idea, but why not bring him back for CB depth and cut Mouton?

We know the guy can return kicks too. I was pissed we let him go after he ranked #1 in the league in kick return average.

It couldn't hurt in case Frenchy went down.

    Ehh, I wouldn't even bother.

Reynaud takes care of return duties, and Mouton seems like he's earned the right to play.

Mouton had a concussion. If he plays again this year, I have doubts about his effectiveness. And Mouton has earned no right to return kicks or punts. In fact, I never want to see that again. I too was pissed when we let Carr walk. All he wanted was a chance, JUST A CHANCE, to be more than a special teamer. Fisher wouldn't have it. Would love to have Carr back. He provides depth in two positions.

He is not a very good corner that is why he was cut. Keep in mind kendall wright could return if needed

except he's probably not going to... dunno if we can afford to throw another WR out to return punts and kicks since we're a bit short on that position due to what happened to Mariani...

He got hurt and unfortunately for him, the young guys started playing well; keep in mind the Ravens used a couple of top picks on DBs recently. That's really why he was cut.
He was pretty solid for the Ravens, injuries aside. 2009 was a great year for him and 2010 was even better but he missed most of 2011. Other than 2011 injury though, he has not been injury prone at all.

The smart move (if they're interested in him) would be to wait until after the first game, then you don't have to guarantee the contract for the year

Carr wanted to leverage his return capability into rising up the CB depth chart. He was a coverage liability from the corner position. It's not like #1 NFL KO returners usually keep that spot or regain it years later. I'm not interested. If Reynaud went down, D Will is listed next. Mouton will never be allowed to return again.

I would vote Craig Stevens next. He looked nifty out there. (Last part is a joke, for the literalists among us.)

I watched him with the raiders titans and ravens and he is not a very good corner he is one of those tampa 2 zone guys that cant play man. I cant think of the guys name but we drafted him in the seventh round one year and he now plays for the ravens and he is better than carr. No thanks not interested. Reynaud made the team to return kicks but I hope he gets a chance to spell CJ in the run game. Ringer has shown us what he is and that is maybe average to below average nfl RB.
