Wow. Nice to know we have people like this in our fanbase. Btw, it's spelled tourette or tourette's syndrome. Smh.

Well, for at least 13 of those 17 games.

I don't believe he's sitting there twiddling his thumbs or not planning on "working" on the run game this week. But really, at this point, what can he really do that is going to have a meaningful impact on the run game? The only thing I can think of is to try to light a fire under some players by letting them know their jobs are on the line, for real.

They've had the entire camp and preseason to work on chemistry and coaching these guys up and what do they have to show for it? The worst rushing performance I can remember ever seeing. IDK, call me a pessimist, but I just don't see it getting a whole lot better without shaking things up. And that's what annoys me so much about Munchak's "It was a little of this... a little of that" comments. It absolves any one player/unit/coach of being forced to take responsibility for not doing their job.

It's just the same exact crap we heard last year. And we all thought "Well, we don't know what discussions are going on behind closed doors." And we held out hope that it would get fixed. But it never did. We had a couple good games against some really bad defenses and that was it. I'm not falling for it again.

That said, sure, it is only week 1. But if it gets to weeks 3,4,5 and it's still not fixed and we're getting the same old excuses, this fanbase as a whole should be beyond outraged. At some point Munchak has to admit that the run game simply isn't working, and won't ever work, with the current crop of personnel and/or coaches. And changes must be made.

I'm starting to wonder if Munch even has it in him to fire Bruce. I hope we don't have another Fisher/Cecil relationship going on here...

I wish CJ had turrets instead of Tourette's. Then those defenders in the backfield wouldn't be a problem.

Think signing a G doesn't put a couple of players on notice? To me, that says a lot more than "you better start playing better".

Camp and preseason doesn't tell anyone about the run game because there isn't any live tackling. The preseason told me it was still broke and, even then, we had only a few series of work.

Seriously, what do you want Munch to say publicly? He said CJ was trying to hit the home run. He said Locker missed on some audibles. He brought in a G. Do you think he's going to tell the Chargers what he plans on doing scheme wise?

I would feel a lot better about that being the case if they didn't have to pull Leroy Harris out of the game because of injury/fatigue. Seems more like an insurance plan to me. But we shall see.

Fair points. But it's still frustrating that we're now over a year into the run game woes and we actually somehow look worse rather than better. Like I said, I'll give it a few weeks and see what happens. But I'm not optimistic.

Honestly, I'd like for him to say that he's considering benching people if they don't perform better. I think a big problem with this team right now is that players don't fear for their jobs. When you sit there and say CJ keeps trying to hit home runs instead of taking what is there, and then immediately follow it with "But we're going to keep rolling with him anyway" what kind of message are you communicating?

Hey, I'll admit I'm probably overreacting a bit. But I'm pissed off and frustrated. And I hate hearing the same thing over and over. Had enough of that with Fisher. Again, we'll see what happens over the next few weeks. But at some point you have to admit it's just not going to work and try something else. It's great that we brought in a G. But you'll have to excuse me for not being overly optimistic that a guy who was watching the games from his couch on Sunday like the rest of us is going to have much of an impact.

I would be shocked if the Titans found a replacement for Harris but, if they feel Harris is needing to step up his game, a little pressure doesn't hurt.

It's terribly frustrating. And the fans can only take so much before the boos rain down (a few did this Sunday) and EVERYone affiliated with the run game feels serious heat. Jobs need to be on the line.

Remember Munch sitting down CJ for Ringer last year? I haven't seen anything yet to indicate to me Munch isn't willing to make changes. I think we may see more Reynaud and (if he can go) Ringer on Sunday if CJ comes out stinking up the place.

Did anyone really expect us to be better in the run game? CJ has been the same for the last 39 games, no change at all, and we're starting a 2nd year QB, teams are gonna load the box and MAKE us beat them over the top. If you're surprised, then the problem may have been you're expectations were probably way too high on who CJ is and what he is capable of.

Um, how about hold someone accountable?

Is that not how you improve? If mistakes are consistently made without punishment, the mistakes are just going to be repeated.

I expected us to be better than 11 carries for 4 yards. That's for sure.
