because it will continue to happen if it is not fixed. I'd rather have a new starting QB than one that get his shoulder out of socket after every hit.

If it were his throwing shoulder, it could very well be career-threatening/ending.

Because if it keeps popping out, there WILL be structural damage.

This is what I was thinking too. Go until he either hurts it again or there's nothing left to play for. This is a little risky but Jake needs experience more than anything else so if he can get as much as he can during our "garbage" season it would only help us in the long run. That way he can come back and light it up. But no matter how you look at it, this is terrible news. He was the reason I was excited about this season. I wanted us to finally have our franchise QB and be ready to compete for years to come but this just pushes back another year..again!

Sucks that we wouldn't be in this position if it hadn't been for the replacement refs being retarded calling Nate's catch a fumble, causing Locker to tackle Chung, in turn dislocating his shoulder. GRR!!!

I hope this isnt the case! Hopefully he rests for a week or two and then continues to play!

I don't understand. If Munch said there was no structural damage, what is the surgery going to fix?

And for a non throwing arm issue, season ending surgery seems a bit dramatic....Even if his arm falls off at some point, its your non throwing arm! Get out there and play!

If he gets season ending surgery with only 3 games under his belt this season is officially a waste and we'll be set back years

There's a small chance Matt Hasselbeck doesn't retire for like another 5 years and stays a Titan. He enjoys being Jakes biggest cheerleader.

The surgery will force the shoulder to stay in socket. If this happens a few more times, untreated, there will be serious issues in the future.

A QB does not only need a right arm/shoulder. They have to be able to take snaps, hand off, take hits, without their shoulder looking like a horror movie.

I guess I'm the only one that thinks Hass can still play, Palmer is the one making the WRs run 3 yard slants, not Hass. They ran those 3 yard slants for Locker too.
