Are you someone you believe in stats or find them interesting? I find them interesting and love to look them up and find them and track them. However, it's not because I believe they mean anything to future games ... I just like to know the history of the matchups.

Here is one I just found and thought it was interesting.

Adrian Peterson has played the Titans D (outside pre-season games) only 1 time in his career. He rushed for only 80 yards and the Titans won by 13 points.

However, AP did account for 14 of their 17 points (and he probably put them in position to kick for the other 3 points).

I still feel like this is the formula to beat them 4 years later, though.

    1) Get up early (we led 10-0 at the end of the first and 20-10 at the half and 23-10 going into the 4th). This will limit AP's touches and force them to throw more late in the game.

2)Hold AP under 80 yards. AP isn't as much of a scored threat, he hasn't scored a TD since Week 1. However, he has over 80 yards in their 3 win and under that in their 1 loss. In that loss, the Colts put them in situations in the 4th to stop their run game by making them call passes, AP only had 4 carries in the 4th.

3)Get off the field on 3rd down. We showed last week that we can hang with anyone when we get off the field on 3rd down, and then we showed late last week that we can look ugly as hell when we don't get off the field on 3rd down.

If we keep their RBs out of the end zone and get an early lead, we can force the ball in the QBs hands in the 2nd half and I think Verner > any of the receivers all day long.

But how you plan on us moving the ball to get the first score?

    Some more stats:
    Vikings lead the series 7-4
    Vikings have outscored Titans 290-181
Titans are 1-6 when playing @Vikings
Titans won the last meeting, and has neve won 2 in a row vs Vikings
Titans are 1-5 all-time in this stadium, losing the last meeting at MOA 20-3

A win will move the Titans to 7-0 in the last 7 vs the NFC North

If CJ gets 100 rush yards, it will be his 30th 100 yd rushing game and 17th time he has recorded back-to-back 100 yd rush games

TE Stevens needs 29 yards to set a new career-high in receiving yds for a season

Washington needs 1 reception to extend his streak of 66 straight games with a catch, 52 straight as a Titans (#5 in franchise history, a catch will move that to 53 and tie him for #4)

Wimbley will play in his 100th regular season game

CJ is #1 and AP is #2 in rush yards since 2008

CJ is #5 in franchise history for yards from scrimmage, needs only 142 yds to move to #4

CJ is currently #22 in rush yds 5 seasons. 106 yds behind #21 Shuan Alexander.

They might score that much just this weekend alone, Jerry Gray has sucked!

Run from run formations, like last week. No more 4 WR singleback or shotgun rush game. Hass showing how he got a team with a 4-game over and under in Vegas to a 9-7 record last year.

What I would like to see on pass down is CJ in the backfield, Cook on the end, Britt at #1, Washington at #2, and Wright in the slot.

If Britt and Cook are healthy and play the meaningful down and CJ is pushing 80 yards, we can win alot of games, no matter if it's Hass or Locker throwing the ball.

He was good vs Lions (until the last 7 minutes when everything went loopy for both teams). And he had a great gameplan vs the Texans, until the 1st pick 6 when things got out of hand (which, by the way, was deep in the 3rd quarter).

I like what he has done the last 2 weeks, and it's only going to get better this week with McCarthy back out there.

if they win the coin toss and receive it's over.

They'll score opening drive like every other team and we'll be down immediately and then there's no run game option [as if there was one] etc etc.

Down by 1 possession early in the first and you give up on the run game? hahaha I'm going assume that's sarcasm, for my own sake. :p

That seems to be our trend so naturally it would continue.
