‘Steve McNair: A Football Life’ airs Wednesday

not watching it.... don't want sad memories to come back

 

Recorded it. Not sure when I'll watch it, but I assume one day I will. I know it will make me very sad. RIP #9

 

I could have gone without watching it.

RIP Steve.

 

Its a nice show though. Just seeing footage of Steve will put a smile on most peoples face

 

Just finished, really great job by NFLN. They touched on his death a bit but not too much and barely showed him as a Raven. Really touched on his life and player as a Titan. I'm actually pretty sad right now, he was my first favorite football player and the reason I'm a fan today. I owned 3 of his jerseys, bought his cards, and would always go out and try to play like him. Tonight brought back some good memories but sad at the same time.

 

It was good. It was sad though when they showed him with his kids and he was talking about looking forward to being with them as they grew up.

 

Steve was one tough mofo. If we had more current players with half of his heart, we would be a tough team to beat. The way that we denied him in Baptist Park was down right Fd up!

 

I watched it and well.. what can you really say?

It showed his life and his times and a player and how he evolved as our QB, as a player and a person. As a person, a completely selfless guy who would go above and beyond to make others happy or to help them in any way he could. A guy who loves his kids more than anything and relished the moments he got to spend with them. As a player, the moments that he pulled off some miracle, pulling a rabbit out of his hat and getting us a win. How he would play with reckless disregard for his own health just to try to get us a win. The never give up mentality that would rally a team on his shoulders. Those moments are the ones that are burned in our memories as Titans fans and will make him our Quarterback, forever. Steve will be my favorite quarterback of all time.

As far as his death goes, none of us are perfect. We have all made mistakes and as long as we are human, we will continue to do so. What Steve may have or may not have been doing will never be known. Fred Hopkins was right in that his death raises more questions than it answers. I just hope that his death does not over shadow his life, or his legacy in the memories of his fans and more importantly his children.

I think the real tragedy in this is that his children will never really know their father. The football stuff is not all that important in the end.

Makes me miss the days when the Coliseum was rocking and we were the toughest team to beat at home.

 

"Do we have to pay him?" Screw you Bud.

On a side note, that was extremely sad but very well done. I wish we had just 1 player that has the kind of heart McNair had, just one.
