he was tackling like a high school football player yesterday. Hit hard but dont wrap up. Throwing your body into someone does no good unless you wrap up!

I'm not sure if you saw the hit before that, but Spiller wasn't too quick to get back up. Even on the play you're talking about, Spiller ended up out of bounds for a loss. Good play.

No, he's not. I don't think anyone is suggesting that. However, he is the only DB we have that I've noticed can stop a RB. I imagine his coverage is horrible. Really haven't seen enough of him, but if you can't hang with the Colts... There are still plays where his skill set is useful.

He's not a free safety anyway.

Safety Al Afalava saw his most extensive action of the season in Sunday’s win over Buffalo, as he was on the field for 18 of the Titans’ 61 defensive snaps.

Titans defensive coordinator Jerry Gray benched starting safety Jordan Babineaux for part of the second half against the Bills after he missed some tackles. Babineaux was on the field for 43 of 61 defensive snaps.

Afalava made the most of his opportunity, posting his first four tackles of the season – a total that included two big hits on Buffalo running back C.J. Spiller.

“He did a nice job. That’s what we knew Al could do,” Titans coach Mike Munchak said. “I think we thought when he made the team, he’d get more opportunities. The problem with some of the games is that we weren’t able to suit him up because of numbers and issues (at other positions). You can’t suit everybody up, so unfortunately he wasn’t even in a position to do that in some of those games.”

Munchak says he hopes to work Afalava into the rotation on a more frequent basis.

“We think Al is a heavy hitter, and he does make a difference when he’s in there,” Munchak said. “He got an opportunity a couple of series and he did a nice job. So hopefully there will be a spot for him, a place for him in packages that we can get him on the field and kind of change up our style of play some.”
