The Miami Dolphins haven’t given up 100 yards to a running back in their previous 22 games, but that might be just the kind of challenge the Titans’ Chris Johnson is seeking.

In last week’s loss, Johnson ran for 141 yards against Chicago, becoming the first back in 19 games to go over 100 yards against the Bears.

Earlier in the season, Johnson ran for 141 yards against Houston, which makes him the only running back to go over 100 yards against the Texans in the past 18 games.

Johnson will face quite a task against a Miami team that’s ranked third against the run, allowing just 83.9 yards per game on the ground. Then again, Chicago was ranked first in the league against the run prior to Sunday’s game against the Titans.

“It’s going to be a big challenge,” Titans coach Mike Munchak said. “We played Pittsburgh when they were in the top two or three and then last weekend Chicago was pretty darn good. We did a pretty solid job running the ball in those games.”

Munchak said the Dolphins do a lot of blitzing, comparing Miami to Pittsburgh despite the fact the Dolphins use a 4-3 system.

“You’re getting a lot of inside safety blitzes, a lot of inside cross dogs and they’re going to try to discourage you from running the ball,” Munchak said. “That’s one of those games where you have an opportunity for big plays if we hit it right and I think that’s what we have to hope happens in the run game.”

Johnson got the bulk of his yardage last week on play, as he went 80 yards in the fourth quarter when the Titans were losing 51-12. He was held to 61 yards on his other 15 carries.

IMO, CJ having a successful gane this weekend will have nothing to do with gaining 100 yards. As we all know, CJ can pop an 80 yarder at any moment. And if he does that it becomes pretty easy to hit the century mark. CJ's success in my mind will hinge on his keeping us in good down and distance, something he's done a good of over the last 5-6 weeks.

I was more impressed with his performance in the Steelers game than any other game the past two seasons... he was consistently getting good yardage against an elite run D. That's the kind of stuff I look for in a RB.

Don't give a **** what he did against Buffalo. I'm glad he did it... it was fun to watch and impressive, but everyone looks pretty good against Buffalo.

I agree. What I have liked most about CJ the last few weeks is the consistant postive yards. Lots of runs for 4 and 5 yards, and not much going backwards. He can still break the big one sometimes too which is always great, but he hasn't been killing drives like the 1st couple weeks this season.

Even though the Bills' run d isn't that good. CJ had by far the biggest yardage total of any other back they've played against.
