I bet we would of lost had Matty started yesterday.

It is beautiful to have a QB that can scramble when things break down.

There's no way we were losing that game yesterday, regardless... but we probably would've had 17 less points.

Without Locker's ability to scramble, a few of our scoring drives wouldn't have been possible.

MH starting, less conversions, more sacks, d is on the field longer, d gets tired.. and who knows.

More accurate passes, Phins drop back to respect the pass and CJ has 2 or 3 more big runs.

    I'm still team Jake.

Steve Tasker nailed it when he said that Jake made "chicken soup" out of chicken sh!+ on that broken play when he tripped and fell. MH would have played dead.

MH has the experience and Jake has the intangibles that can't be coached. Athleticism, heart, and toughness. He might not be the most accurate passer but he will do what he has to do to keep drives alive and finds a way to get it done. I'll keep it in perspective because the Dolphins did themselves in early but Jake still does deserve a huge pat on the back for his performance yesterday. We are definitely a totally different offense with Jake under center.

Locker's performance yesterday wasn't great but it wasn't bad either. I'm not concerned right now for a number of reasons:

    1) 2 TDs, 0 ints ... cant complain there

    2) 9/21 isn't very good, but it was his 1st game since Sept 23 (I'm not counting the Texans game since he only attempted 2 passes) ... that is about a month and a half in between starts, and he didn't get to practice a lot of that time either. I would have been surprised if he didn't have a least a little rust to shake off. It took Hass 2 full weeks of absolutely terrible play (Texans and Vikings) before he started looking decent again after he sat on the bench for 3 weeks, and he was able to fully practice every week.

And like others have said, he had a few throw aways and a few drops. He did have a couple bad throws as well, but so does every QB. (how many pick 6's has Hass thrown this year?). Overall though he made good decisions with the football and avoided costly turnovers.

    3) He only had about 115 yards passing, but there were a lot of factors that contributed to that.

    - The D got a lot of turnovers and gave the O great field position. So even when we were scoring TDs, we didn't have a lot of ground to cover. The D also took away one possesion from the O when they returned an int for a TD.

    - CJ and the running game was working great. When you are up by 30 points, you are gonna start trying to run the clock with the run game which is taking passes away from locker.

    - Locker was pulled halfway through the 4th quarter since we were so far ahead, so again he lost some more passing attempts

    4) Even when the passing game isn't going all that well, Locker will beat you with his legs. He did a great job of picking up 1st downs with his legs and keeping drives alive. Normally under Hass those plays go for about 1-2 yard check down recievers followed by a punt. Don't under estimate how crucial that can be for the moral of the O, and how much that can help out the D with much needed rest.

So I am not worried about Locker right now. He showed earlier in the year that he can make plays with his arm. I will be looking for him to progress as the season goes on.

9/21 is where people are making a big deal out of his performance... it's the same thing chodes like McShay looked at (instead of actually watching him play like a normal person).

He threw the ball away at least three times that I can remember... he also had two drops, right?

I just love how McShay said that Locker was the most questionable draft pick of 2011. His reasoning was that Blaine Gabbert was still available. McShay, you are useless. Find another job.

I think that Jake Locker is leaps and bounds the best QB of that draft class, not even close really.
