I just don't see how there isn't a requirement to win your division to be in the championship game. I mean, if you're not the best team in your conference let alone your division, how could you be the best in the country?

Bullcrap! Florida got their 9-1 record playing a much harder schedule. They have a much harder opponent on Saturday also. Georgia had the easiest schedule in the entire sec.

The best team in the country last year didn't win their division.

Bullcrap? Really? Seems to be working out pretty well for them to me. Lose against Georgia and not have to play an extra game while still getting voted in? Seems like a great deal.

Thanks to Nick Saban. He went turtle against LSU in the regular season and let them hang around. Luckily for him the BCS bailed him out.

Are you soft in the head? Losing to the number 1 ranked team is better than losing to an unranked scrub team. It's the quality of your wins and losses when comparing teams with the same record.

Alabama dominated the game and missed all those field goals. So? Their record was as good as any in country so why not get the #2 ranking they deserved it.

Your thinking is stupid. Florida has done more to earn their ranking than Georgia. Honestly Georgia should be ranked about 10th they have only beaten Florida and nobody else their only other quality opponent blew them out.

    Ga vs Florida.

    Record? Same.

    Record against conference foes? Same.

    Record in the division? Same.

Quality wins over ranked teams? Georgia one, Florida 3. 4 if they beat Florida St.

So how is the idea of Georgia playing for the title ok and the idea of Florida maybe playing for is bizarre and unfair?

If Georgia had to play Florida's schedule they would not be 9-1.

As opposed to getting in the NC game without even having a conference championship..

What's worse, a team being the best in their conference and there not being enough teams in the conference to have an extra game or losing to your rival and not even having the opportunity to play the extra game because they couldn't earn it?

I won't penalize a team because the conference doesn't want 12+ teams. I will penalize a team for losing conference games to rivals.

When in the world did I say Georgia was better? Oh, that's right, I didn't. I said Georgia was overrated about two pages ago.

What I've been saying is the loss to Georgia has helped UF more than beating them because they don't have to play Alabama.

    Your thinking is stupid.

Actually to be honest you could make the case for Alabama not being the top ranked team if ND lost.

They have 3 quality wins in my opinion. LSU(7), Michigan(19) and Miss St(26). The later 2 because of how they won those games. And that is the biggest point for Alabama the fact that when they go against average teams or even some ranked teams they blow them out. Unlike Florida they destroy weaker teams but Florida has a win over the team that Bama lost to.

So the argument could be made that Bama needs that one more big win to prove themselves worth of the top ranking and Georgia ia that opportunity.
