Darius Reynaud refused to take a knee on Sunday.

The Titans’ kick returner fielded three kicks in his own end zone and decided to take each one out. Reynaud didn’t have a lot of success — going from four yards deep to the 14-yard line on one attempt, from eight yards deep to the 15 on a second attempt, and from seven yards deep to the 22 on a third attempt.

Titans coach Mike Munchak said Reynaud should simply have chosen to down the ball on one or two occasions.

“Really, we’d done a pretty good job (on kick returns) up until (Sunday),” Munchak said. “We felt like he was special and we were blocking well, so we wanted to stick with it. But yesterday as he struggled — or we struggled — we probably should have started making him keep it in (the end zone) the last couple.

“We kept thinking we needed a play to ignite us, and maybe a special teams play could do that. If you’re talking about three or four yards’ (difference), it’s worth the risk at times. But if we’re not getting anything out of it, we have to adjust.”

But you didn't adjust did you Munch? Just like every other game you've ever coached.

I was wondering if this would ever be addressed. Here's a serious question, Williams was a pretty good return man in college, he doesn't see a lot of time on the field. Has he ever been given an opportunity? Nothing Reynaud does impresses me,he trips over himself, has terrible ball control and doesn't seem to understand there's a difference between starting at your 20 vs somewhere inside you're 15. He's another big reason we lost yesterday.

How hard is it to just say, hey Frenchy, if it is more than 5 yards deep take a knee?

Buttmunch needs to STFU !!!! Reynaud is putting forth effort that is sorely lacking from half the team and the coaching staff as a whole. Perhaps buttmunch has been telling cj1yd to put on the brakes. No shlt, thats the problem all along!

Problem is, if you are going to run it, get back to the 20. If you cant.... dont do it. On a couple occasions he could not do it and taking one from 9 deep in the end zone then trying???

I'd play him over Britt at this point but that's because I've lost all respect for Britt. The thing with Williams is he always seems to make the circus catch but can't bring in anything that hits him in the numbers. Anyone else notice that?

The thing is every. Kick return is a toss up. Every chance you take you can make something happen. Its a game. Play it. Ya it sucks when he doesnt break it open. It suck worse when cj1yd goes backwards twelve freakin yards too. But you keep trying. Thats what play makers do. At least reynaud provides the excitement of "just maybe". I know you are wishing him to break it everytime he takes off.

    Ya

I totally agree with the britt part. Who the hell gets injured, comes back and FN forgets how to catch????? I can understand movement issues, but hand issues when it was your leg that was hurt? Come on.
