Munch just looks lost out there. Lossing to the colts and now the jags, it is hard to defend any of the coaches. We sat on cap money and did not fill in holes and the safety play by this football team is the worst in the nfl.

Tomlin inherited a well run organization, of which the titans are not. Tomlin is a better coach that Bill "the chin" C ever was. Pitt has been destroyed by injury this year. I just think we are worse than we were a year ago. May not be all the coaches fault but we are going the wrong way and have more talent than we are showing. In munch defense, he has 2 of the worst cord. in the league right now. But it is up to him to fix that.

Is he on the sidelines only eating his lunch during the wins? :hugelaugh:

Say the man isn't what the Titans need. I can accept that. But to put the majority of blame on him for loses while not giving him credit for wins is silly.

The fact of the matter is that this team lacks discipline and it lacks a coaching staff that can provide it. A well disciplined team doesn't lose football games on the fundamentals. Catch the ball, make the tackle, keep your feet in bounds, etc. we need coaches that not only demand respect from the players, but command it. After week 2 or 3 when the locker room was calling out Palmer, I knew we had a problem. Munch is a good guy, but i dont believe he's the kind of guy that can get us championships. I don't want a Norv Turner or Andy Reid who have had stellar talent but nothing to show for it. I also don't want a Rex Ryan who just runs his mouth off hoping his team will bail him out... But at least Rex was able to trick his team into respecting him for two years - and they made it to the AFC championship both times. This team doesn't have the coaching staff that can take them to the next level. The talent is there, the discipline is not.

I gave him credit for the wins.

You're talent argument is such an easy excuse. How are we supposed to know how much talent this team has if the coaches suck? How should we evaluate the players when the coaches are only sending 10 guys on the field on consecutive downs? Or running draw plays with no timeouts left under a minute to play? If this team got any sort of national media coverage, we'd be the laughing stock of the league because of our coaches.

How do you explain the Colts? 0-11 this time last year. 7-4 now with better coaching and basically the same corps intact.

Really? I never saw it. All I see is you blaming him for every loss.

If it were a pie chart, I'd say the NFL is 75-80% about talent. 20-25% is putting those players in position to excel. It's means a lot but, one bad player and everything collapses. You blame Munch/Gray for the long Jag pass TD when Babs clearly blew it and admitted as much. A better player makes that play.

Could Gray have coached him during the week to take better angles? Sure. But, based on his comments, he admitted he was totally at fault. He lacks the talent, skill, or something to execute his assignments and the coaches have little depth behind him to upgrade the position.

My example about Super Bowl-winning coaches having awful days yesterday was to point out that a lot of it was because their top talents were out. It makes a genius coach look like an idiot in a hurry when they don't have the talent to execute their game plans.

Are you saying Pagano is responsible when he's not coached the team the majority of the season? Or are you saying their interim coach, Bruce Arians, is the reason for their turnaround? I'd say it is more because the Colts built an emotional bond around their sick coach and Andrew Luck/Reggie Wayne are a heck of a lot better than anything the Titans have at QB/WR.

Just swapping out Luck for Collins/Orlosky (sp?) kills your "same corps intact" comment. That's a major upgrade.

Bruce arians is a hell of a lot better coach than Munchak....

Being a VT alum alone makes him somewhat successful

He's a good OC and the Steelers were idiots to let him go but Arians was horrible as the Temple HC and well below .500 as the Browns OC. It wasn't until Manning landed in his lap did he see success.

Blaine Bishop gave his opinion on the afternoon show before the bye week - He said if he were the Coach that there is no way they would get the week off. He actually said something to the point of they were getting paid to play professional football, they weren't putting that product on the field, and they needed way to much work to even think about getting a week off. Looks like he was right.

Agree to disagree... I say it hurt us a lot, though it was not the reason we lost.
