    Watched Sunday's episode last night.
"The sniper likes to test his weapon".. So naturally Dexter will find him at the shooting range and stab him to death, while he's shooting, with a bunch of other shooters in the lanes next to them. All of this of course in one frantic day that will see Dexter kills a multitude of people, randomly show up at work, then home, then kill some more people, then another crime scene and on and on.. And of course the minute Titus Pullo dies we have a new killer (burning people) for Dexter to stalk. Cut to Deb, who is the most preposterously unqualified, unstable candidate to be a police captain (at a police station that conveniently located in an inlet harbor - lol) who is naturally having another emotional meltdown - as she does multiple times in every episode.
This show's best feature by far is it's unintended comedic element..

Do we need to get into the "24" levels of ridiculous that are now happening in Hometown or do you just ignore every instance of that in order to worship that show as superior?

Don't like Dexter, don't watch it. Aint hard. The show has improved its quality considerably this season compared to the last two.

LOL, Dexter is the same as it ever was.
Not sure about Hometown, but whatever preposterous scenario that plays out in Homeland it is neither as frequent are as comical as Dexter, which is so full of silly shortcuts one can only laugh..
I didn't once say I didn't like Dexter, but a person can like a show and still acknowledge how fraught with stupidity it is. My point of course was that folks seem to hold Walking Dead to some random quality standard while somehow Dexter doesn't?

Hometown is every bit as comical as Dexter in its ridiculousness.

The next VP is out murdering someone in the woods? Ok sure. The next VP shoots a deer at a party full of people in his backyard and nothing is made of it. Ok sure. Oooooh Saul and Carrie's goons find out about Quinn right before he is going to kill Brody! SHocker!!! Ooh let Morena **** Brody's buddy while being watched at a CIA safe house. Real bright. Great safehouse btw that is made almost entirely of windows. The #1 wanted terrorist in the world enters the US no problem with access to helicopters. Yippeee!

I guess I'm just glad to see Dexter get back to being a decent show after I almost didn't even bother watching this season. Homeland is still pretty good, I probably even enjoy this season more than last, but it is dangerously approaching 24 levels of ridiculous and plot convenience and that could kill the show.

As far as Walking Dead, I think it's been great. I have no problem with the story buildup. The only thing that has brought it down some for me is that I have now read all the graphic novels so I have a good idea what happens. And I am not finding the governor as menacing as he was in the comics.

I actually do prefer Homeland over Dexter now... but I still really like Dexter (this season and seasons 1-4).

I agree with what CC said about that scene... but that's how the whole show has been - very unrealistic. I still enjoy it.

I think a lot of it is intended... not the stuff you mentioned.

But many of his kills are intentionally humorous IMO.

Deb is pretty damn annoying, but that's also intentional IMO. She's clearly depicted as a sensitive, over-the-top emotional wreck. The amount of F-bombs she drops is obviously intentional.

If you like strictly zombie killings, Romero movies are for you. ( And me also)

But the WD is trying to give fans an Apocalypse show. Plus a little romance for the women. I cant stand Andrea myself, but I hope all this slow scenes finally has a reason besides showing us how gullible she has become.

I like the Michonne fights, but how much better for the Prison group if she would just share what she knows? Why not tell ANdrea what she knew about the Gov and the blood on the military vehicles? WHy not mention a guy with a hand missing shot her? I would think that would make a big fat bell go off in Ricks group, dont you think?

I dont like the 15 mins of commercials, but what can you do. It is without a doubt my fav show on TV right now. It also makes a Titans loss a little more bearable.
