    I think you're onto something.

Losing your leader is tough, but Hasselbeck was a familiar face.

Maybe the back and forth gets old? I know back when Collins and Young were in and out of the lineup you could see the players lost interest.

If that's happening now, then we need new players who don't get down like 14 year old females when things go sour.

What changed was the fact that there was no lockout this year.

Teams had absolutely nothing to go off of us last year because we had a completely new regime. You really think we would've beaten the Ravens if they knew what to expect? Let's be real, without that W against the Ravens, last year would've sucked, period. Munch confuses the hell out of me... you beat the Ravens and Steelers, but lose to the Jags twice and an 0-13 Colts team. This likely means his wins are flukes and he has no clue what he's doing.

This season everyone has been prepared for us, and we have not come prepared due to bad coaching/game planning.

    1) Easy schedule last year
    2) 4-8 is gonna suck big time
    3) defensive & offensive schemes

I say we have a bounce back year next year. 10 wins. Easier schedule, new coordinators. Defense has a ton of young players who will be better. Locker a year older, Britt a full season removed from ACL surgery, Wright in his sophomore year.

The good thing about a crappy record this year is an easy schedule next year

Only good thing about crappy record is better draft pick.

And I truly think that's something we have been pretty good at the past couple years.

Locker, ayers, Casey, wright, brown, Martin.

These all solid contributors for us at this point and at least showing up side. I trust our war room.

Only 2 games will be easier next year. The other 14 will be the same whether we are 0-16 or 16-0 ... but 2 games could be the difference between 8-8 and 10-6 so its at least worth something.

As far as why do we suck this year ... Combination of factors really.

    - tough schedule to start

    - Injuries to key players (mainly Locker but you could throw in Britt since he still isn't 100% and McCarthy has been in and out). And I know we had Hass, but he played GOD AWFUL for the 1st 2 games (Texans/Vikings) then after putting togther a couple wins his play started dropping off again.

    - Some unfortunate breaks (Colts game comes to mind)

    - Young team that really doesn't know how to play though adversity yet (When we go down early we seem to give up, when we go up quick we seem to play better the entire 60 min)

    - Our D is also essentially playing without a S ever on the field (Griff and Babs combined make up about 1/2 of a real NFL safety)

Throw in a couple of bad coordinators and I think you have a recipe for a bad season.

There are a few positives to take away from this season though.

    - We have a lot of young players getting significant playing time on the D. This is a great learning experience for them. Especially the young LBs who could turn into some real studs barring any serious injuries.

    - We are also getting Locker and Wright some much needed experience on the offense that will serve them very well going into next year.

    - Britt is still recovering, but he hasn't gotten injured yet this year (fingers crossed) ... hopefully he will be back to 100% by next year.

-Having a bad year got Palmer fired sooner rather than later. He was never going to get us the the level our O needs to be, so at least we aren't going to be wasting any more time there.

    - CJ is running good again
