Let's get it straight. I don't like losing. But how many years in a row have we heard the same statements you are making about us being close personnel-wise and still we are not a real contender? And you and I can disagree where we are with the talent on this team.

We are out of a safety. Our O-line has needed re-building for two years now. We don't have a dominant D-line. Our franchise QB hasn't shown us much yet, especially hasn't disproved the criticisms he received pre-draft. He's in year two. We chose a 5' 10" WR who is decent but not franchise and we had much GREATER needs for re-building. Our RB is a finesse back, we have no real bruiser. Our TE situation is average with Stevens, project with Taylor Thompson and Cook is out. Our WR's are reasonable but Britt is injured and a headache to boot and next year is his last contract year. Doubt we re-sign him.

Just what core do you see have personnel wise right now? And as you list it, make an honest assessment of how that core stacks up competitively to other franchises who will be competing with and those franchises who started their re-build at the same time or after ours.

Stop making excuses for this TOTALLY inept FO. This re-build was epic fail. The sooner we admit it, the faster we are on a recovery to get back into division contention. If the Titans don't get their head of our their azz, the Jags will also be on a stronger path. Believe me, they KNOW they effed up their re-build 2 years ago. They did just what the Colts did to us last year.

Jcbrave is right. We need two safeties, three offensive lineman, and a stud pass rusher. Maybe a Qb too, we wont know for a little while.

Where do we start with our first pick?

Depends where we wind up in the draft. Trade if it's a top five pick and start rebuilding the OL with the additional pick we get. Maybe pick up a S and DE or bruiser RB. Too many scenarios to have a definite plan but the higher the draft pick, the more options we have.

I could care less about draft position. But if losing out meant a new coaching staff and front office I'd be all for it. We're going nowhere with this current regime. Mark my words. Sig it. Whatever.

I was listening to 104.5 this morning and they were talking about how apathetic the fanbase seems this season. And how it's never really been that bad before. The fanbase is usually really really high in the clouds or really really low and pissed off. But indifferent? No bueno. I came in midway through the conversation so I'm not sure if they were talking about attendance or local TV ratings, but Mark Howard said that this past Sunday was the worst he can recall since the Titans have been here.

I hate to say it, but I'm slowly creeping into the apathetic "Just don't give a damn anymore" camp. For as long as I can remember I've watched every moment of every Titans games. If I need to use the bathroom or grab a beer, I pause it and resume when I get back. But for the first time, this past Sunday I chose to go out in the backyard and play with my dogs instead of watching the whole game. It was too beautiful outside to sit around wasting time watching this garbage team.

I just have zero faith in the direction of this franchise. And it's getting harder and harder to have blind optimism. Something's gotta give. Or the dark days for the Titans have only just begun.

You want us to suck for 2 more full seasons? Johnny Football is a lot of fun to watch, but 2 more seasons is along ways away.

Hey, I laugh when Griffin blows a play, don't even care anymore honestly.

And also, fans reflect their teams. Give me a reason to cheer and spend my money at games and I will.

Really, QB? IMO Jake is cut from the same cloth as Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees, just needs time and he'll be great.

As for where to start, well there's free agency which I always look at is good for 1 player, if there's a good guy available to us, get him then get BPA in the draft.

We're too many players away from being good to draft by need. Thats a strategy only the best teams can use.

O-Lineman are the easiest to groom and are the first ones to fall in the draft, so get one of those guys 3rd-4th round.

Yeah. This year it just feels... different. We've had some bad years before. But I've never felt nearly this apathetic. And I'm seeing it with other fans as well. I have several customers who come in and are huge Titan fans too. We used to get into long discussions about what was going on with the team and how we'd fix it. Now the conversations just go something like this:
    "You watch the game Sunday?"
    "Yeah, eh".
    The end.

It's like people are sick of even discussing this god awful excuse for a pro football team.
