Ok, back to the topic of AP breaking the record ...

The Vikings play the Packers week 17, and last time they played AP thrashed them for 210 rushing yards.

Now, there is a chance that the Packers have the 3rd seed locked, with no way to improve thier seed with a win and a loss doesn't hurt. So they may rest thier starters.

If you are the Packers in this situation you obviously don't want your Div rival to set the record against you (especially when AP ran all over them the last time). Do you sell out to stop the run and not worry about the pass at all just to keep AP from the record? I mean a loss doesn't hurt so who cares if they win or not. Might as well stack 11 guys in the box to stop him every time. Even if you are playing 2nd/3rd string, if EVERYONE on your team is only trying to stop AP and nothing else, he probably wont get any yards.
