I believe a lot of his accuracy issues go away when he's not being buttraped by every defensive line we face. Locker also has the fourth highest percentage of drops behind RG3, Aaron Rodgers, and Cutler. There are things to work on to be sure, especially his passes deep to the outside, but I wouldn't crucify him for accuracy on this season.

I have a feeling Jake is going to be our Alex Smith.

Probably capable of being a good QB, but his development is going to be hindered by key ineffective players around him and an inept coaching staff.

The college team I follow is Nebraska, and Taylor Martinez (God help him) had the WORST mechanics I had ever seen when he started as a redshirt freshman. This past offseason he went and trained with someone who helped him on his footwork, throwing motion, etc., and you could really see the difference early on and throughout the season. But when he was pressured he would sometimes revert back to his old, shot-put looking throwing style. I really hope Jake can work on whatever it is that troubles him this offseason and come back next season showing some major improvement.

This is where not having a minor league hurts the NFL. In baseball I follow the Blue Jays. When Roy Halliday first came up he was terrible. Had this over the top throwing motion that created no movement. So they changed it. But had to send him back to A-ball to change it then get used to it. He worked his way back up to the bigs and became a top starter.

There is nowhere for guys like Locker and Tebow to go. They need to get better but their team's need to win. They revert back to the old habbits because, early on, throwing the old way is more successful then throwing the new way. Let's hope he takes this offseason and really goes to town on his footwork. Get the muscle memory changed.

Which learning disability prevents you from hitting space bar?

Regardless, thanks for the thread! I've been down on Locker the last few games myself...

I still have a tiny amount of hope he can transform into a Steve Young...

Both Seattle and San Fransisco run this play with great success, it's making their QB's look like real gems.
