LOL at you thinking we're loaded. We have a lot scrubs. No one's even heard of Ayers or Brown outside of Nashville..Not saying they are scrubs (McCourty, Babs, Locker, Matthews, Mouton, are all legit scrubs), but if we're so loaded, I think we'd win more games.

That is why he broke the rookie passing yd record this year I guess. Only because he has solid play around him.

He is leagues better then Locker right now and in 2-3 years when we are trying to find a new QB I think luck will be right there taking the colts to the playoffs again.

Let's be honest they've been extremely lucky. They just happened to have the number 1 overall pick twice since like 1999. Just so happens both times there are clear franchise QB's just sitting there, waiting for them. That is totally random and pure luck. Personally I saw Manning as clearly better than Leaf that year so the choice was obvious as was the selection of Luck.

You don't think they took luck out of the equation to get Andrew Luck in the draft?? Like we should have done to ensure a top 3 pick..

I don't see any reason why it is so difficult to believe. When you look at the way everything unfolded with the timing of them cutting Manning loose and how terribly they played. Hell, even their own fans questioned it. Were it not for the likes of Luck and RG3 coming up in next year's draft, you really think they would have cut Manning so quick?

It's just not normal for a team to be that bad for one season after being perennial superbowl contenders for so long. Yes, they would not have been that great without Peyton all those years but come on, it was super suspicious. So easy for a team to do that because it really can't be proven so long as people keep quiet about it. And not everyone would even have to be in on the plan either.

The players didn't try to lose last season, but the front office IR'd a lot of key players with minor injuries early in the season, made no efforts to improve the roster, etc.

I'd rather wait and see how they do next season, at least, before I crown them.

I agree that their roster doesn't like that great. The rookies did a nice job - Luck, Hilton, Ballard, Allen, Fleenor - and Wayne had a crazy season, but Donnie Avery was their #2 receiver.

My gut says they regress next season.

Well if the Colts really did throw the season on purpose, it's looking like it was a smart move. They're a lot better off than if they would've finished 6-10 last year and picked 10th in the draft.

I think they likely regress a bit next year too. But I by no means think their success is a fluke or a sham, as so many others do. Sure they caught some breaks along the way, but most successful teams do. They're a good football team. Let's not be sore losers about it.

Not me. Forget that. First off the went through a much bigger drought than we have. The team sucked hard from the time they got to Indianapolis until Peyton Manning's second season. No one cared about them. They were the equivilent of a bye weak for most teams. In 1992 they had the first 2 picks in the NFL draft and managed to draft busts with both picks.

The have one of the worst uniforms and logos in the league. Plus, what do horses have to do with Indianpolis? Or Indiana? What is Indiana known for? Open-wheel racing, the KKK, David Letterman and crop farms. Not horses. Oh, and they share their team name with a popular brand of cheap cigars:
