Ill wait and see what actually happens, then post an opinion when I know who our OC and DC are.

Right now, this reply is nothing but a "what if"

I actually will be posting something about Gray but going to wait and see what Munch does first.

We have to wait until the "if" is taken out before discussing and getting too much into it.

All I know is Denver, Indy, Washington, and Seattle have all made much bigger improvements in their rebuilding process than we seem to be accomplishing. What's the difference? Quality coaches and good QB play. So far we don't seem to have either and it doesn't look like anything major is going to be changing this offseason that will create a meaningful step in that direction. Lets hope that at least we get a solid draft and maybe some upgrades with the coordinators.

As far as the white version of VY, yea we MAY have missed on a QB. Take a look around the league, were not alone.

Personally, ill wait until Moore is named OC and see what kind of offense is built for him. Palmer wanted to run a run and shoot with an inaccurate QB...... DOH!!!

Already posted it. However tell me, who would you have hired instead of Munch. Mularkey? Fewell? McGinnis? Gregg Williams? Dinger (rip)?

Tell me exactly what difference maker we missed out on during that SHORT time we had, and you are NOT allowed to say "anyone but Munch" or theres no point in arguing.

And as far as Munch, its getting old. No, I am not happy with Munch but show me ANY COACH IN THE LEAGUE with our talent level that could have done better with Palmer and Gray as his coordinators.

True. My point though is that we seemingly tried to "rebuild" the team as a mirror image of it's former self, just with different names. (e.g. Another running QB with accuracy issues. Promoting a disciple of the HC we just ousted.)

If Moore is named OC it would be the first thing in a while I could get excited about regarding the coaching staff. But I wonder why he'd all of a sudden want to be OC when he had no interest last year? And all of this is assuming that Loggains won't be back. Munch is every bit as loyal as Fisher from what I hear. And I don't see him firing to OC's in a matter of months. Hope I'm wrong.

I would've been much happier with Fewell or Williams. But I admit we were in a bad situation with the timing of it all. BUT, again, that's our own doing by repeatedly failing to pull the trigger on firing Fisher those last few years.
Well, honestly just about anyone other than Munch would've been better IMO. How about someone who at least had some experience coordinating?

At what point can we start putting some of the onus on Munch FOR his coordinators. Everyone keeps using the coordinators as this big excuse. Seemingly forgetting that HE is the one who hired these fools. I know he was put in a bad situation with the timing of it all. But of ALL THE COACHES ON PLANET EARTH, these are the guys he picked.

I most definitely CAN count them because they didnt WILLINGLY leave, we PUSHED THEM OUT

Tullock didnt want to leave, we let him leave because we were in our base defense (which was not a 4-3) for 60 ish percentage of the snaps. We would ahve been paying top money for a LB who was on the field at best, 40% of the defensive snaps..........

Finny didn't want to leave, we lowballed him and let him leave.

Babin, same thing. We did not want to give him the money.

You do realize you just backed up my point, right? :p

Key word, tried. We are still trying and wont know much until next season, imo.

No clue, but if we cant get a Turner type, I would love to have Moore as our OC

Loggains can be demoted and learn under Moore, and be groomed to take over in 2-4 years.

Munch isnt loyal to anyone, the firing of Palmer, and benching of several key players this season proves that imo

Agreed. Fisher and VY should have been gone immediately after the season, before all the GOOD coaches were snatched up.

Munch was a DUMB hire, but it was also the best hire imo. As odd as that sounds. Give Munch good coordinators, and people wont hate him nearly as much imo.

Only one way to find out. Next year will be HUGE in determining where we are in this rebuilding process.

Fair enough on Tulloch. But as for Finnegan, none of us know the exact numbers of what we offered him. What I do know is that he stormed out of camp at one point. And that he ended up signing with the team of his former coach, for a $50 million contract. I find it extremely hard to believe that we didn't WANT to keep Cortland. And that we offered him this super-insulting contract offer. I'm sure he could've stayed if he had chosen to. Every player SAYS they wanted to stay. They don't want to piss off the fans/city.

As for Babin, I'll admit I could be wrong on this, but I seem to recall the story being that he willingly followed Washburn to Philly.

As for the scrubs who you say "backed up your point", it goes to my point as well. ANYONE would've cut those scrubs loose. Even the vast majority of fans had been calling for their heads for years. And Gage was what, like a 3rd-4th stringer? Nickey was a special teamer. Hope was the only full-time starter of that bunch and he was old and injured. My point was that this team didn't look drastically different from Fisher's last year to Munch's first. I don't call what we did a blowup/rebuild. Maybe we just have different definitions. And that's fine.

I agree with Munch being the dumb/best hire (yeah that's weird to type) because we were immediately behind the search when we fired Fisher so late. I don't have that big of a problem with Munch I think he's a good coach but he gets outsmarted for the most part. If he had a good pair of coordinators we can mask that. We have a really young team and these next two years are crucial to the franchise because if we waste this youth and talent we're just going to repeat our doom.

True. I'm super pissed right now. And I truly believe we're just delaying the inevitable by keeping Munch around another year. But maybe, just maybe, he can turn things around with different coordinators. The problem though, is that I still feel like he is in over his head. And new coordinators doesn't solve all of that. Too easy to blame it all on the coordinators. Offense sucks? Don't look at me, that's Palmer/Loggains' department. Defense sucks? Don't look at me, that's Gray's department.

I somewhat agree. I'm just going by what I hear from all the local beat writers. They all say he's a very, very loyal guy. Which is why they were all so surprised that Palmer got the axe midseason.

Finny wanted to stay, we just didnt want to give him the money he deserved (although I was fine with it when it happens. Looks like we missed him now)

Lowballed him, and he followed Washburn. I could be wrong here too, tried to google it but too much crap to weed through

Except Fisher. Which is what I meant, new coaches, get rid of scrubs. (although we resigned another scrub, Griffin)

Honestly I really hope I am right. If so, we see a good improvement next season. If not, we will be starting over again in 3ish years.

Ive seen enough losing, I want to see some winning again.
