Because you're small minded. You can't see the big picture.

Irrelevant win that actually HURTS the team vs Getting this team out of the cellar

I've always felt like the main reason Manning wasn't a Titan this year was because he knew that not everyone was on board with it in the Titans front office/coaching staff. I, like the threadstarter, truly believe that's why Reinfeldt is gone now. anyone who was against Manning was putting a sure thing aside for developing a young QB that was unproven. We would be getting ready for the playoffs with Manning right now. Yes, I believe he would have made that much of a difference. We might have 10-15% of the 3 and outs we had this year with Manning under center. Now, think about how much that would have helped our defense. Not to mention playing with a lead much more often. Bad was absolutely right to try to get Manning imo.

    manning wasnt coming here regardless

Manning is smart, like him or not, and he knew the condition our team was in.

He just had to decide whether he wanted a ring, or demi god status in a state.

Because losing gets you out of the cellar, just ask the Cardinals, Lions, Dolphins, Bills, Chiefs, Browns and Raiders.

I don't think Peyton ever was interested in coming here. He realizes he only has a few more years he wanted a team was ready to win not one with the amount of holes we have. Add to that if he fails in Tennessee it some what stains his name in one of two places he is loved above early every other athlete.

I think he blamed MR for why we were not a good team this year. It was his draft picks that let us down to a large extent. Webster's picks look promising so far.

It didn't hurt the team at all. The change in draft position is 8th to 10th, which means nothing if we draft wisely.

Secondly, you would have to be naive in the extreme to think that winning the last game made a difference in whether or not Munchak was retained.

Losing is a culture, just like winning is. The minute a team accepts losing as a "strategy", they have made a decision which culture to adopt.

Maybe they knew the choice between us and the (AFC leading) Broncos was so obvious that it was a waste of time that could have been well spent upgrading our roster.
