Assuming of course he was actually reinstated. I know many people here, myself included, aren't big on "retreads" and are sick of the hires with Titan/Oiler roots. But it is what it is. For whatever reason, this organization as a whole seems to feel that the Titan/Oiler bloodline is a winner.

So with that in mind, would you support Williams for DC if he was available and we actually wanted him? Why, or why not?

Personally, I think he could do wonders for this soft pansy @$$ defense. And I think the "baggage" that comes along with him is/will be overblown. As long as he keeps his nose clean there won't be any problems. I can't believe he'd be dumb enough to try anything after all he's been through and knowing he'll be watched like a hawk from now on.

Of course it all comes to down to 1) Will he be reinstated and 2) Would Munchak even want to go after him if he were reinstated.

As for 1), I think there's a decent chance he is reinstated given the fact that the player suspensions were overturned. I think both the league and all involved want to get this all in the rear-view mirror.

As for 2), I've said in another thread that I think Munch plans to keep Loggains and Gray and just cross his fingers that it all comes together in 2013 and his butt is saved. BUT, if we're talking about someone who is proven AND Munch knows and respects, then that's a different story. I could see him making a move in that situation. (Of course, I'm ignoring the part about whether or not Williams would actually want to come here.)

At this point, I'm pretty much in "Anyone but JG" mode.

Honestly, I'd rather keep Gray. Greg Williams is a buffoon, and he's Fisher's boy :puke:

I also don't think our players would respond to Williams, cause even I look at him like "you serious dude..."

He has coached legitimate NFL defenses, so yes..

but he has sullied his reputation, and may never coach in the league again, so no.

Williams is out in St. Louis. At least that's the word.

And he's had success other places sans Fisher. Hell, the guy has a ring. Something no one in this organization can say. I can understand him not being at the top of anyone's list. But you'd seriously rather have Gray?

    Titans 2012:
    - Dead last in PPG.
    - 26th in Y/G
    - Negative 141 in point differential
    - Allowed 30+ points in 50% of our games

What's that say about how I look at Williams?

I'm either dumb or he's a freaking *******, probably a little of both, but I do NOT want that man tainting our team with his stench.

Verner pointed out we have no attitude, so next year we'll get one, but not from Williams.

Maybe Jerry Gray is tired of getting stepped on, so maybe we'll blitz more. Thats all Williams does anyways is blitz 60% of the time, not hard to do.

Where's that attitude going to come from if we keep rolling with Gray? Why would he suddenly change now? Just because he's "tired of being stepped on"? You'd think he would've grown tired of that long ago.
