Actually, I recall that the rules changed and Wimbley doesnt count since he was cut or something like that... so maybe you're right Ensconatus.

I have a feeling Reid, Elam, and Vaccarro will battle for #1 safety spot.

Vaccaro suppose to be better in coverage, seemed to play the run a lot more when I watched. Coulda been scheme.

So I think my dream is to get Andy Levite AND Henry Melton in free agency.
    Trade back in 1st. Our 1st for ??'s 1st and 3rd?
    Rec'v 3rd comp for Finny

    1st - Matt Elam, SS, Flo-Rida
    2nd - Barrett Jones, OC/G, 'Bama
3rd - Datone Jones, DE, UCLA
3rd - Kyle Long, OT, Oregon
    3rd - Blidi Wreh-Wilson, CB, Conn

This would provide us with an upgade OL. Roos-Levitre-Jones-Velasco-Stewart, plus Kyle Long (Howie Longs youngest son) developing a year ready to take over Roos/Stewart. Or Stewart can go to guard and Long starts. Kyle Long recv'd a DUI (while a baseball player), recv'd to follow the football path, went to a community college then went to Oregon. Elam provides us the phyiscal player we need in the secondary, plus Blidi can fight for legit playing time. Datone Jones provides depth behind Morgan/Wimbley.

Taylor Mays, Laron Landry, Brandon Merriweather. Hard hitters who can't cover at safety do not make big impacts in the NFL, Elam is jut another guy to add on that list except he's not a freak like Landry or Mays. This isn't 1996, does it really matter that Elam's good in run defense when he can't cover like a safety is supposed to

Yea I see the same faults across the board for this group of safeties. Elam can't cover, vaccoro is supposed to be able to but I've missed that. Reid is big and comes hard but I'm not seeing great cover skills either. Tj McDonald? Guess I should check him out

Did you guys all forget about Robert Lester didn't play as well as he has in the past but could be a great pickup in the later rounds
