We've went through this argument but let me add that while the line being a disaster lead to more problems, his timing and getting rid of the ball never really changed. He holds on to the ball too long as it is, the line was decent at the beginning of the year, tried to keep him clean... Last part of the year the line was wrecked... He still holding on to the ball to long but now the line can't keep him clean as long... More sacks

Every NFL QB does that. Every QB feels a lot of pressure at times, good ones succeed, even with a lot of pressure. The Colts OL is almost as bad as ours is.

I am not an NFL QB.

I'll wait for Locker to be healthy and to have adequate blocking before I make a judgement on how good or bad he is.

I just see no reason to bring anyone back period. We were not competitive in to many games. 1 for the division because of 4 td returns. Gave up 55 twice. All these free agent coaches and we are going back with the same coach and staff. Even if Munch wanted to change and get some new guys he is a lameduck coach and that makes it tough to get asst.

That's pretty much the camp I'm in, for now. But I'm not overly optimistic.

They were just talking about Locker on 104.5 a few mins ago. Kuharsky (who I don't always agree with) made a really good point. Good QBs, at some point, have to make the players around them better, not the other way around. Good QBs shouldn't need a ton of weapons and an elite OL. Sure it helps, but great QBs find a way to overcome and make those guys look better than they are in reality.

He used the example of TY Hilton in Indy. Said that if Hilton played for the Titans or Jags he'd likely be just another guy. But Luck has elevated him to a level that most teams would kill to have out of their #2 receiver.

The sad truth is, we haven't seen ANY of that out of Jake Locker thus far. That's what's so disconcerting. I can't say he won't eventually be a very good QB. But I think if he were destined to be a GREAT one, we probably would've seen more out of him by this point.

But then you do have to take into consideration that he's had crap coaching and was banged up this year. So you DO have to give him a bit of a pass. Either way, 2013 may end up being every bit as much of a make-or-break year for JL as it is for MM. If Munch is fired after 2013 (which I'd say is highly likely) then a new HC will probably want to bring in his own guy if Locker isn't lighting it up. New HC won't want a project QB with just one year left on his deal.

Unfortunately for Jake, he's already going to be at a disadvantage out of the gate because of the shoulder surgery. I've heard that's a 4-6 month recovery.

Kuharsky and the guys on 104.5 are the last people talking Titans I care to hear from. I'd honestly rather talk to you and Deuce Wayne, cause those guys on the radio as well as Kuharsky don't know squat.

And there are reports of Locker shooting for a May return.

I think Kuharsky knows his stuff for the most part. He just goes overboard at times for attention. And he tries way too hard to push that "loudmouth, overly confident Nu Joisyan" persona.

Still, I think he's got a point in this particular instance.

Sounds about right. It's a setback, but not an insurmountable one. I'm just saying it sucks that he's going to have to spend 4-6 months of the offseason recovering from shoulder surgery when he could be using that time working on mechanics, etc.

What about young ones with terrible coaches?
