Well, some things I thought while watching the game last night:
    1. Playoff is badly needed now more than ever: Thank goodness it is coming. Texas A&M can make a case they deserved a shot. Possibly Oregon too. Florida could have before their bowl game. Georgia not so much.
    2. Pro style still Works Best: There is always a lot of hype around these spread and air raid offenses. ND has a spread as good as any and better than most. It was useless against the 'Bama D. Spread works great for teams that cannot get pro style RB, QB and OL but the pro style still works the best over the long haul. Alamaba has won 3 of the last 4 BCS title games with pro-style. The only teams to win with a spread were Auburn (With semi-pro Scam Newton at QB) and Florida twice.
    3. Manti Te'o was over hyped: Too many missed tackles. Not to say he should be given up on. But he is probably not going to be a top 5 pick at this point.
    4. Chip Kelly made a good decision to stay at Oregon: Spread is not going to work well in the NFl if used exclusively. It can be part of the offense but not the whole thing. The national title game gave us a good look at what the Chip Kelly offense would look like against many NFL defences. Charlie Casserly gave a good explanaition of why the spread would not work as an exclusive offence on on the NFL network this past weekend.

And we also confirmed the NCAA should just be renamed the SEC SEC SEC

We also learned that Brian Kelly is incredibly honest.

    *After the 1st half*
Reporter: Coach Kelly, what can you guys do better defensively in the second half?
Kelly: Well, maybe Alabama doesn't come out in the second half.

And we learned that momentum can be swung by refs and end a game very quickly.

Oregon MAYBE has a claim? Maybe? haha Oregon would beat either of those teams that played in the NC game. We all know it.

Maybe NCAA just needs another division split. It could be FCS then FBS then SEC.

Sorry maybe you missed the rest of the SEC's mediocre post-season showing.

Stop acting like every team in the SEC is Alabama.

Pretty real idiotic statement given that the head of officials came out during the game and said that was a good call.

Also, let me get your idiotic "logic" right:
Because Oregon beat Kansas State, a team that gave up 52 points to Baylor, by 18 points (and mind you, Oregon only scored 35 on K.State), it makes them a better team than Alabama, a team who just hung 42 on a team that hadn't given up more than 26 points all season and who beat the team that beat Oregon.

Your idiocy truly knows no bounds. Oregon would have been whipped even worse than ND was. Bama would have been the best defense Oregon had seen all year, and Oregon would have been one of the worst defenses Bama had seen all year (remember, Arkansas State hung 34 on them and USC put up 51). That score would have been something like 87-17, with the 17 coming late in the third and in the fourth.

Yes. It was a bad call that cost ND the victory. Not the fact they could do nothing on offense or defense and were dominated in every phase. Yep. Bad call.

Oregon would probably been a better game, but still would have lost just like they did when they played LSU.

Bad rule, not bad call. Head ref said it was the right call.
