Because Chip uses a dual-threat QB.. not sure how his system works without one. Foles is the exact opposite of that. Chip was given control over player movements also.. kinda what Carrol got. Pete did a complete overturn of the roster, 50-something moves in one off-season... I would be surprised if Chip did the same thing.

I'd rather have them than pay Vick 80 mil over 5 years.

It is as if he didn't want to coach the Browns...

    I agree with GoT
Oregon should probably prepare for the NCAA ban hammer with Kelly jumping ship now.
    Something is up.

He pulled a Pete Carroll. I can only assume that he's leaving some dirt behind in Oregon.

14 good reasons why this was a stupid move by the Eagles:
    1. Steve Spurrier :chuck:
    2. Mike Riley :banjump:
    3. Lou Holtz :irked:
    4. Nick Saban :swear:
    5. Butch Davis
    6. Bobby Petrino :hitthefan:
    7. Lane Kiffin :biglaugh:

14 college coaching geniuses who fell flat on their face in the NFL. The rest of the NFC East are licking their chops waiting to tee off on that gimmick offense. It will have some success at first. Before the end of the first season though it will be figured out and crushed.

By 2016 Chip will be back coaching in college or will be an on air analyst for College Game Day. Probably complaining about how those big bad NFL players did not respect his coaching genius.

I think they'll keep Vick. He fits his system perfectly. Had it been any other coach I'd say no but Idk who they'd replace Vick with.

You can't pay him.. you see his deal 5yr/88mil left, and he'll be 33 this summer. So in 5 years when he's 38 he'll be making 20mil that year. Vicks time is basically up, he's getting older.. slowing down. He still has no arm. Still can't read defenses.

For every college coach who fell on their butt in the NFL you can find a successful one.

Actually, I can only find one. Jimmy Johnson.
    • Barry Switzer gravey trained off Johnson
    • Harbaugh and Carrol were NFL guys before college
