Didn't really read your full post. Just voted out of spite. :)

I just made a serious reply. But no, the only guys that have been hired who I would have legitimately wanted would be Reid, McCoy, and maaaayyybe Kelly. But I'm skeptical about Kelly. That said, I'd take Lovie over all of them and he's out there right now.

The state of Missouri loves washed up coaches.

    First Fisher and now Reid.

Out of the listed people I voted for Gus Bradley, Mike McCoy, and Andy Reid but they would not have been my first choices out of every candidate available.

Personally I'd love for us to hire Lovie Smith next year if Munchek can"t make it to the playoffs next season (not a big if). It's not easy to have a winning record as an NFL head coach with some of the QB's he has had to deal with. I think we have most of the personal needed to run his defense, which is very linebacker oriented, and if we could get a good offensive coordinator teamed up with him it could turn our franchise around in short order.

I read that Lovie Smith is prepared to sit out the 2013 season for a potential 2014 HC job. So we could end up getting him anyway. Just a year later than we should've.

I would love it if we could mange to hire Lovie Smith, Mike Mularky, and Rod Marinelli as head coach, offensive coordinator, and defensive coordinator respectively.

How messed up is that though?

A great coach has to sit out a year so Jerry Gray's sorry ass can have a job.

Then you are saying you would rather have all these coaches now then wait a year and potentially land Lovie Smith, Jon Gruden, Bill Cowher, "insert your favorite 2014 coaching choice here"?

For me, there is only 1 coach out of the 8 hired I would truly have been excited about.

Which re-affirms my personal opinion of keeping Munch one more year playoffs or bust.

If he busts I like the coaches available in 2014.
