Anyone Still Want Te'o After Reading This?

If anyone passes on T'eo because he got 'Catfished' then they are frick'n morons. Even if he got tricked by some girl (or completely made her up) it does nothing to change the fact that he has talent to be a great linebacker in the NFL. No way this dude falls out of the first round.

Also, if T'eo wasn't a football player no one would even hesitate to believe his story. He got conned in an online relationship it happens. Just because he is a football player doesn't make him any less of a person.

 

Well, here's the thing... I had been wanting us to take Te'o for a while even though LB is not a need. I just figured with Brown, Te'o, and Ayers, we would be prepared to have the best LB corps in the league for years to come and all it would take is one solid DL addition to become a top 10 defense.

But... since he sucked balls in the title game and this whole hoax thing came out of nowhere, it wouldn't make sense for us to take him... unless it's in the 2nd round. But even then, we would have other pressing needs.

 

Completely ignoring the 'girlfriend' thing the only issue I'd have with taking T'eo in the top 10 is his bad game against Alabama. That was the first time I have ever seen T'eo play with such lack of intensity and swagger. The question is now wither or not you want to weigh that game vs. an entire career of being one of college football's top defenders; I do not.

Also it makes complete sense to take him if we believe McCarthy can't stay healthy. Grab a DT in the second and draft a DE in 2013 and you will have an awesome front 7 for years to come.

I'd be all for a second round pick. He could slip that far. It might be rare but if he did, we would almost certainly take him

 

It's obvious the Bama game was as a result of him being freaked out about the who catfish thing.
