And we all thought Kuharsky was crazy for suggesting it was a possibility, lol.

Flat out, this is a fantastic hire. Anyone who's complaining "we always bring in former guys" blah blah is full of crap. So let's not ever bring back extremely successful people when they were here?

Williams is exactly what this defense needs. They have no heart or identity, and play very soft. I know his title will be "assistant head coach" but obviously he'll have a say in defense I'm sure and he can help us develop all these things this defense so desperately needs (toughness, identity etc)

And this also puts one of our worst coaches, Gray on a veryyyy short leash.

The Titans have talked with suspended Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams about a spot on the team’s coaching staff, according to sources familiar with the situation.

Williams, who previously worked as an assistant with the organization, has still not been reinstated by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, however.

Indications are Coach Mike Munchak has had discussions with Williams about joining the staff as a defensive assistant. Williams worked with the organization from 1990-2000.

Williams was suspended by the NFL for his role in “Bountygate.”. The NFL recently allowed him to pursue NFL jobs, but has not yet reinstated him. Commissioner Roger Goodell said he would consider an earlier reinstatement for Williams if he found a team willing to hire him.

Williams served as the Saints defensive coordinator from 2009-2011 and was scheduled to work for Coach Jeff Fisher with the Rams before being suspended by the NFL.

The titans hires are always so in a circle that it gets almost redundant. And you can't help but notice it is my point. I do agree he is better and probably more HC ready than any coach on the titans ATM. He's seen successful teams, been around winning and aggressive players. SB, been there, done that. He's proven. It's a good hire. At the same time I think even if he wasn't as good, we would probably hire him... Lol
