According to CBS' Jason La Canfora, free agent Jared Cook "appears to have no future" in Tennessee.

If this turns out to be true, I would be extremely dissappointed in this staff. Seems like Cook's choice to speak his mind may lead to his departure. I don't think Cook really wants to be here next season anyway. I don't think Munch and Ruston have been planning on keeping him either. They never used him as much as they should have. If they do let him walk, how are they going to replace him? I can't imagine them going after a TE any better than Cook. This would fit in with all of the other off-season moves, I guess.

If this happens will you root against the Titans every game like last year?

Outside of a tag and getting him involved in the offense heavily next year I doubt we could make him stay. Sucks to say but we may be looking for a tightend soon.

Cook is too inconsistent. I hope we franchise tag him to force him to play for a contract year with us or someone else. Since we'll have the cap room to do so.

Not surprised at all, he had more complaints than catches last year. Either draft someone or bring in a solid TE, if we're not going to use Cook a lot then I highly doubt anyone would get much action.

If we draft a TE in the first 3 rounds Webster's gotta go.

Meh. He's been okay but is truly a one trick pony. I won't be hurt to replace him.

You know, there comes a point when you just have too many holes to fill.

    • 3 offensive line spots
    • 2 safety spots
    • power back
    • corner
    • 1, possibly two defensive line spots
    • receiver next year
At some point you have to start having guys stick around. This revolving door of players we have is not a good thing.
