I will agree with you that he is very similar in athletics and style... And we can transition BACK to what we did with Vince... Specially with loggains BUT he wasn't brought in by Palmer to do something Palmer never bothered with. Palmer had no interest in riding the coat tails of dingers offense. He was here to prove his option route vertical passing offense was the schict.

Opening Locker up to even more hits is probably not a good idea.

It's a great idea if you enjoying having a new QB every 2 years or so. only idiots subject their QB to that much open punishment. When that QB becomes a RB, most of all their special protection due to the rules, goes away. Great way to shorten a QBs career. Not like we have one destined for a long career anyway.

Safe to say that plan failed. Just like playing CJ like Barry Sanders failed for Palmer too.

In theory you'd think opening things up for both Jake and CJ would help, but they're two guys who have the ability to get away from guys, so spreading guys all around only confuses them.

Last summer I made some claims we'd be using Akeem Ayers as a DE, took 12 weeks but we finally did exactly that.

Just like then, I am reading between the lines a little, but look out for Jake to do a lot of what Vince did in 2010.

You're just going to have to wait and see I guess because like I said, what I'm basing that off of isn't exactly there to see, but it'll happen.

This is football, NFL, NCAA, CFL, HS it's always still football, and based on both CJ's and Jake's skill-set, it all points to an option offense. We don't have to literally pitch the ball or play Tim Tebow at QB to have this offense, it can be a wrinkle or it can be more, but I think people aren't in favor of this because they're not sure what it'll look like.

All of next years coaches have already all said the same things, they want to utilize our guys strengths, and putting Jake and CJ in an option based Offense does exactly that.

Okay I understand we can move back to that.... And I expect that also.... But that hardly secures your claim that that's why he was drafted... Palmer had his hand entirely in who he wanted to run his o... He picked locker... Not because he was like young but because he thought he could fix his problems.

If dinger would have drafted locker, I'm with you entirely. If loggains woulda picked locker... I'm with you entirely... But the Palmer thing makes it impossible.

It's a nice coincidence of similar talents but drafted for a different reason. Grey has had his hand in drafting players for HIS defense, Palmer didn't look at locker and go... I could make young outta him... I mean why would he? What would he even do that for?

I thought Munchak was the one that was all high on Locker? IIRC it was him who said, "He just seemed like a guy that other players would love to have in the huddle," or something around those lines.
