Wow that's frustrating considering how bad the offense was but I guess not that surprising..CJ, Washington, 2 WR 1st round picks, Roos, Stewart, Amano, Harris & Hasselbeck all make a ton of money. At least Harris is a FA and we'll release Amano. And Hasselbeck won't be around much longer.

One thing I'll say, maybe the Titans aren't content with mediocrity (that's always getting said around here) since they're clearly trying to put stuff together. Just poor money management, but not "cheap"

our main problem this year (interior oline) is the main portion that is overpaid....they all need to be cut or traded if they are still under contract....cjs amount is crazy too and i still think we made the mistake of paying him so much

CJ is worth that much ONLY if the team was built in a specific way to allow him to get to the 2nd level and do what he does best. We failed at so many levels when putting this team together the last 5 years and this is the result we're stuck with.

Well we aren't really "stuck" with anything and if you factor in that Hutch, Amano and Harris are / should be off the books that puts things into a better perspective.

As for guys like Britt and Wright they only make an average of 2 mil a year on their contracts so it in't like these 1st round picks are making things bad. Stevens is set to make 3.5. Also, Hawkins is set to make a 2 mil base so he is more than likely gone. So if they strip some dead weight letting Hawkins (2 mil), Hutch (base 4.5 mil) Amano (3.7 mil) go we save 10 mil right there. Harris isn't back and that is a 2.7 mil base we also won't have. Now they need to sign Velasco to some kind of decent deal (maybe give him Harris money) because IMO he is a keeper either at OG or C and with the others leaving we can't let him walk so that is a wash.

By the way Roos is set to make 6 mil. Consider the tag amount of OL guy is 10 ml and he is a bargain as a quality LT. David Stewart at 5 mil isn't bad either. I'd be more scared of the fact both those guys are in the last year of their contracts in 2014 so we have to start making plans to replace them now.

Do you guys really think that Velasco is worth keeping around. I wasn't very impressed last year.

Velasco is a must to resign.

I still think that we can find a backup QB that is much cheaper and just as good as Hasselbeck. He has done his 2 yrs of tutoring Locker. His job is done. Move on. Go with another younger/cheaper guy.

I also would look hard at cutting Washington and using his money to try and upgrade the position. Wright and Williams are similar WRs to Nate.
