Was the no-call on Jimmy Smith's hold Kap's fault? I think so.

The hold took place about 5 second before the punter ran out of bounds. Could have set up a hail mary or a really long (though likely missed cos it is Akers) fg attempt.

How Cary Williams didn't get ejected for shoving a ref and then jumping into a fight is a head scratcher.

I think the refs were told to let em play and have a tad more tolerance to stuff. On.y makes sense. High stakes game, high emotions. Something's gonna bust. Let it play out.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but that holding doesn't stop the play. The flag would of been thrown, and the play would of continued until the play was whistled dead. The time would of remained the same. Now, if that punt ran the entire time out, and a flag wasn't thrown it would of been different... since you can't end a game on that penalty.

Doesn't mean you can shove a ref and jump back into a fight. There's a line and usually refs are untouchable.

They don't stop play or reset the clock because of an offensive penalty during play though. So it doesn't really make a difference. They would have two options:
    1. Accept the penalty, at which point I believe since the holding was in the end zone the result would be a safety anyways.
    2. Decline the penality and things play out the same way.

I am sure once the holding takes place, it is a safety so the time should have gone back. But you might be right.

I know. I'm just stating what I think was going on.

Yeah, I don't remember that every happening though. In all the holding-safties, I don't remember them every putting time back on the clock. I'm 90% sure it would have 0 effect on the time. I bet one of the Ravens coaches informed the players this and told them to hold.

Probably. I can't ever remember a holding-safety and normal holds they never do it.
