Did you come out of your bubble today, or do you get Wi-Fi in there?

Munch should want Levitre, Wallace, Bryd, etc. That's the only actions that can be taken at this point to attempt to cover up his ineptness. You sound like you will say anything at all, whether it makes sense or not, to shift the blame away from Munchak. It's pretty simple, you choose to give him a pass, and in year three, I don't give him the benefit of the doubt at this point. If we are a bad team, I think it ultimately falls on his shoulders.

If he graded our team properly, Griffin would have an F in all but maybe 3 games.

But Griffin was his first big signing... and he really screwed the pooch on that one.

Not shift blame, just MY personal realistic expectations.

I have no love for or hate against Munch. I just said when it first happened, it would take 3 years to see how he can do. Just sticking to what I originally thought. After next season, if we suck... bye Munch. 3 and out, get out of here. And hopefully back to oline coach.

Lets say we do go pick up Levitre, draft Warmack, grab Wallace as well as Byrd and we do well next season, does that Mean munch went from suck to good? I agree a good coach can do wonders, but the talent and pieces have to be there as well. I believe those pieces are missing, and no coach can do much with what was there.

And hopefully back to O-line coach of the the Titans?

I don't think Munch will ever get this team to a Super Bowl, I don't think that's going out on a limb. Whether you think we have the right pieces or not, I think you would have some indications by now signaling that Munch knows what he's doing. I could be wrong, he could come out next year and become Jim Harbaugh ( I guess anything is possible)...but Jim Harbaugh turned that team around instantly. Jim Harbaugh was Jim Harbaugh from day one.

I understand that for some it could take a few years to come into their own as a coach, but I would think that would be a gradual improvement year to year, not a miricale happening overnight in year three.

OK fair enough- he needs 3 years. But surely you acknowledge the team took a HUGE step backwards this past season both statistically and to the eyeball, right? That's what has many folks "concerned".

You really think Munch had little or no input in passing on DeCastro? On re-signing Eugene Amano? Hell it was Munch who only until the end of this year acknowledged the interior OL needed some re-tooling when he's been constantly asked about their poor performance for the past 2 years. Sure you can't give him a pass on that mistake and say it was all Ruston Webster and Mike Reinfeldt.

That is so true. You can see what type of mark a coach is going to leave on a team in his first year- maybe not fully developed- but you can see the change in direction.

Munchak had his full off-season to help shape and coach his team in year two and it had a disastrous negative turn. Unfortunately for some, it is completely reasonable for people to assign that down-turn to Munchak's coaching ability. Granted Mike Reinfeldt is a putz, it wasn't ALL his fault we went backwards.

I think we are a little worse than the year before. However where a lot of people say "we took a huge step backwards", I feel our schedule took a huge step forward. Then add that Locker didnt do as well as we hoped, and the line was injured.

Its all a bunch of excuses, but they are valid ones, even though they are excuses.

Would I rather have a different coach? Hell yea, who wouldnt. However Im still going to give him the amount of time I believe a "fair chance" is.

Im not saying he has no input, Im saying he doenst have the final say. All coaches give their input on what they want, but the front office knows the team as well as Munch. I dont think they are hidden behind paperwork and are clueless as to what position needs are.

Again, everyone knows the line was a problem.

Didnt acknowledge until this year that the line had issues? Why did we bring in 2 centers, and sign a guard, if he thought there were no issues until this season? I dont have to give him a pass, he tried improving it last off season. Im confused why you dont think the same, because he didnt say so to the media? Actions speak louder than words, to me.

Im not putting it off as a mistake on Munch, Webber, or MR. ITs just how the NFL is, you cant always get the players you want. Everyone wants to get bent out of shape because we did not draft DeCastro, its a draft. Maybe their grade was lower than where they were picking? How well did picking based on need do us during the final few years of Reeses' tenure here?

You draft based on your scores, not based on need. Otherwise you reach, and we will have people starting threads about how Munch sucked because he reached for a player not worth the spot he was taken.

Munch is going to suck no matter what to some people, unless the team improves and when it does, everyone will say it wasnt Munch, it was the upgrades and talent we picked up/drafted.

We are not like SF, when the new coach came in and the team all of a sudden the team is good. The talent was there, but the coaching wasnt. With us, neither the talent, or coaching is there so Im hoping the talent improves next season, and we get a better idea of how the coaching is. If it doenst happen next season? No excuses, I dont think he should be given 10 years to "learn how to coach"
