these guys just get paid to create something to talk about, no one outside of Flacco, thinks he is even a top 10 QB.

That's funny. I was actually thinking about the exact same thing the other day.

The only difference though is that the Ravens did a better job of letting him just manage the games for his 1st several years while he grew into the position ... and it is paying off now, Flacco was phenomenal through the playoffs this year.

The last few years the Ravens relied on Ray Rice and the D to win games. They basically just asked Flacco not to screw it up. I really think that this is the approach we should take with Locker (although its kind of hard with no running game and a bad D LOL). But I really hope this offseason they focus on 1)fixing the OL, and 2)getting some more help on the D.

If they can accomplish those 2 things, then I think we can be effective as a run 1st team again. We can let Locker manage the games, give him mostly easy throws/reads, and step it up little by little. That way he can focus on some of his technique problems, while still getting comfortable with the speed and Defenses of the NFL. Then hopefully in a couple of years he will be ready to completely take over the offense.

I know this has been talked to death around here lately, but all the other young/rookie QBs have been put in good situations, where they weren't asked to do too much, or make a lot of tough NFL throws right off the bat. RG3, Kap, and Wilson all ran an offense that was catered to what they could do, and didn't ask a hole lot out of them as far as making difficult throws, or being put in difficult situations is concerned. And that is not a knock on those guys by any means ... that is just how it should be. I would think that they will build off their experiences this year and be able to add more to their game and continue to get better.

Locker didn't really have that luxury last year (for a number of reasons), and he doesn't need to come out and be as dynamic as some of those guys above were right off the bat. But I do think that we can kind of follow the "Joe Flacco model", and let him manage games and develop into a good QB a couple years down the road.

It's sad, but Locker is so much worse than Flacco, really I'd be elated if Locker could even achieve Flacco's rookie level.

Locker is a baseball player playing football, nice fastball but not other than that he sucks.

I have seen Locker throw some damn nice passes, that arent just fastballs.

The problem, and question, is can he do it every week.

I mean naturally he's going to throw SOME nice passes. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while. He's inaccurate though, meaning he can't do it consistently.
