Correction Walker said he wants to be back in San Francisco if the money is right. He will get about 2-3 million more dollars on the open market then he will by staying with the 49ers.

Honestly I'd rather go after Walker in FA then tag Cook at this point. Cook is a better receiver then Walker by a slim margin but Walker is miles better then Cook at blocking. Also, with the tag number at 5.5 million both would most likely cost the same amount.

the wr position would probably be the deepest followed by corner and i wouldnt be surprised to see us go after a corner too

    Latest Offseason wish.

    FA
    Resign Cook and Bironas

    George Wilson SS
    Chris Canty DT
    Louis Vasquez RG

    Draft
Titans trade 10 to the Bucs for 13 and a 3rd, make sure they get Milliner.
Titans get a 3,5,7 comp picks.

    1. Chance Warmack LG Alabama
    2. Desmond Trufant CB Washington 6'0 190lbs
    3. Da'rick Rodgers WR Tennessee Tech 6'2 206lbs
    3. Stepfan Taylor RB Stanford 5'9 216lbs
    3.(C) Tank Carradine DE FSU 6'4 265lbs
    4. Shamarko Thomas SS Syracuse 5'9 217lbs
    5. Kevin Reddick ILB UNC 6'2 246lbs
    5. (c) Khaled Holmes C USC 6'3 304lbs
    7. Stansley Maponga DE TCU 6'2 265lbs
7(c). Colby Cameron QB Loisiana Tech 6'2 210lbs

We have rebuilt the interior oline with Vasquez and Warmack, with Holmes being a back-up/project. Taylor is an upgrade and great 1-2 punch with CJ. We add Rodgers to be a deep threat for Locker.

On D, Canty helps to clog the lanes, and hopefully Mike Martin comes along, Carradine and Maponga, providing some depth at our weakest depth chart position. Reddick is a steal in the 5th. Trufant can start day one and CB becomes a position of strength for us. Wilson can be the starter at SS and Griffin at FS, hopefully Markelle Martin and Shamarko Thomas can provide some competition at these positions.

Any chance the fact that Dominque Rodgers-Cromartie attending college at Tennessee State (in Nashville) will help us land him? Not sure if his family lives in Nashville still? Something to [Christian] Ponder about.

Still think we need to take a SS in the 2nd or 3rd round even if we do sign Wilson. Velasco needs to come back, I'm fine with just tagging Cook, and I rather have a vet as well as a draft pick at the LB position.

This off season we need to be aggressive in FA but make sure we bring in a vet presence and leadership as well as the talent. George Wilson does this and maybe we can find a couple players for depth that can help out the young guys. Munch and them are now in a must win or lose your job mode, no doubt we spend more money than usual this year so just have to make sure we spend it on the right guys.
