Still worth having him instead of useless Hawkins.

Seriously what has that guy done or shown in the last couple of preseasons to deserve a spot on the roster? Hes been a complete waste of space. We could easily have let him go and if we needed help at wide out and for some reason wanted him back, trust me..... he would still be available. No one else in the league would want the guy.

Hes kinda like the guy on madden that you sign for dirt cheap when you jacked up your salary cap but need another wide out to meet roster requirements.

There is a lot of guys on this team under utilized by the lack of creativity. Would Hawkins be a star no but he can still be a productive WR. I blame the staff more so than the talent but it is lacking in a few areas.

Kendall Wright was worthy of the pick.

We should've kept Avery over Hawkins no question, Hawkins shouldn't have been on the roster.

But would you rather have Kendall Wright over Donnie Avery/Damien Williams OR David Decastro over any of our guards or even Harrison Smith over any of our safeties...I'm just sayin

Avery never proved that he deserved a roster spot with us. Hawkins played very well last year and Avery was inactive almost every week. It just turned out that this year Avery had a decent year and Hawkins was inactive for most games. I think Locker had something to do with that. We never had a use for extra receivers because we couldn't throw the ball. I really like Locker and I hope he can turn into a more than serviceable QB.

The Avery situation puzzles me some as well. The whole point of bringing him in was to see if after he was rehabiilitated 100% of what he was going to be if he could be a similar guy to the one pre-injury. If it works out you get a steal. If it doesn't no loss. So we sign the guy, let him rehabilitate and then let the Colts sign him so they can get the great value for nothing.

So maybe there is a point here. Obviously hind sight is 20-20.

But the real mistake on Wright wasn't letting Avery go if he doesn't pan out. They drafted Wright because they believed he was something special. So we need to wait and see if that was a good decision. I still think Wright was a solid pick with or without Avery.
