Zach Ertz in the second round would replace Cook's production no problem and without the diva attitude.

Matter fact, just let him walk. Second round TE that can block and catch is more than fine in my book. Makes this draft even easier.

Exactly. And Ertz can block. If we need another WR, grab a 4th rounder with some size.

If we spend a 2nd on a tight end Alex1939 will walk his ass into oncoming traffic.

Why not tho? We need two TEs that can block, and preferably stay inline. Cooper or Warmack in the first and a good TE that can block and play match up nightmare in the second... Yea. Much better run game.

Cook is a one trick pony.

Jared Cook is not worth 10 million, our offense is to predictable with him in their.

Rather get a guy in the draft like Gavin Escobar or Travis Kelce

They should have traded him last year when he started crying..he can't seriously think he is worth the 10.5 mill.. (they don't have a player on the team that is actually worth 10 mill)this is just a ploy to try and get the titans to let him become a free agent,or sign him to a bigger contract that he has yet to earn.
If he gets anything more than a 4 year 15 million- with 5-7 mill. of that being a signing bonus then he is over-payed.

Eh I'm not sure going TE in the 2nd is the way to go. If Cook is gone then it does become a big need but Stevens is a solid player and Thompson is still developing but he's looked pretty good so far. We really just need another guy to come in and get some playing time and see what happens. I feel pretty confident with a Stevens/Thompson duo right now but throw in a 3rd/4th round pick and we should be fine.

If we're looking at TE's in the 3-5 range:
Jordan Reed- he's a pass catching TE, blocking isn't very good. Basically another Cook but a lot cheaper and his role would be shortened a bit.

Travis Kelce- great run blocker and broke out last year as a receiver. Was suspended last year, so that may raise some red flags for us.

Gavin Escobar- this is a guy that I really like. Has great size and athleticism and tore it up at SDSU last year. His blocking is weak but has the frame to add a few pounds and can come in as more of a pass catcher until he develops the rest of his game. I like him more than Reed because Escobar can actually round out his game a lot more than the one dimensional Reed.

Phillip Lutznotgoingtoattemptspellinghisname- he's a solid player. He does nothing great but not really bad at anything. H-Back kind of guy who was always a good red zone player. He's had some injury issues for what seems like his whole college career, so again, maybe a red flag.

Joseph Fauria- this guy is basically a red zone player because of his size and lack of, well, everything else. He may be a perfect compliment to the receving/blocking duo that we have with Thompson and Stevens.

Kelce and Escobar are probably my 2 favorite guys on this list. If we can get over the fact that Kelce was suspended last year then we might get a steal. He's already a really good blocker but he broke out in the passing game and if he can build on that then we finally have a 3 down TE. Escobar seems to be one of the more dangerous receiving threats but has to bulk up a bit more to be a consistent blocker on the inside. There are a few others guys that are pretty good but these guys each bring a little something different, and can all be obtained after the 2nd round (probably).

I'll admit he blocks like a WR.

Next thing you know, all DTs who play out at DE occasionally will be crying to be tagged as a DE.

I think I am about done with Cook.
