Fassbender wouldn't be much different from Daniel Craig.

Doesn't have the suave look, IMO.

IDK man, "I ain't gay or nothin", but Fassbender cleans up pretty real nice.

Anyway, I think the lack of a "super suave" Bond is more of product of the times and the will of the studio rather than poor casting choice necessarily. I think Craig could've played a more classic Bond if that's what the script called for. But like it or not the "gritty badass" protagonist is what most action movies these days are all about.

I'm definitely right there with you in not being crazy about this version of Bond, from a character standpoint. But the movies are still very good, aside from QoS.

All those guys I mentioned are proper Brits, dark complected, are suave and can act - as necessary for a serious run at Bond. They all already LOOK Bond.
This is coming from a Bond fan that has seen every movie many times as well as having read many of the Fleming novels.
Daniel Craig, who doesn't meet several of the above criteria was lucky enough to be part of better, more realistic Bond series but he himself is all wrong for the part.
Craig is always the tough victim. Bond is never a victim.

The 23 year old Garfield. No..
When he's 35 he will be so Bond bullets will fly from his shoes.
    Bank.

And I did make that distinction in the original post.

Fassbender is a buzz word. Are we also gonna talk about the Harlem Shake?

I think Sam Worthington could do a mean James Bond.

lol I read an article about Idris Elba being a Bond. He'd be dang good at it... just the whole he's black thing.

    Tom Hardy > Sam Worthington

    Tom Hardy could do Bond.

I own all the movies, aside from Skyfall - which I will buy when it is cheaper.

Btw, in response to your other post... Garfield is 5 months from being 30. He's not 23.

I just don't see any of the guys you mentioned looking like Bond. I'm sure Hollywood can pull it off though.

X-Men: First Class was pretty much Michael Fassbender's Bond audition. He was probably a bit too young though when Casino Royale came out.

Andrew Garfield fans only familiar with his American roles should check out a movie called "Never Let Me Go."

Tom Hardy is probably too short and stocky to be Bond.
