Well according to some people Wright aint speedy so he couldn't possibly play slot. 4.45 doesn't cut it anymore but some people were all beside themselves when we didn't get Boldin and his 4.7 speed he could pull off 10 years ago.

Agreed, the hate for Wright on here gives me a giggle. The guy was great last year....

I get what you mean by the speed, but Boldin is a stronger, bigger WR then Wright. Boldin is a chains mover. you throw the ball in traffic, more times then not, he comes down with it.

LOL, my thoughts totally. It is amazing some of the thoughts and comments on here. Nate IMO is worth every dime he gets paid for starters and right now he is an outside WR. Also the fact Britt and DWill will probably be playing their last year I'm not sure Washington isn't safe next year. Then the stupidity about Nate being old. Like 30-31 is old for a WR. And the big contract? 4 mil is big?

By the way Amendola does have injuriy concerns but if anyone has actually seen the guy play they would realize he is very Wes Welker like. The kid is a tough scrappy player and is great in the slot. As in he will get you that 3rd down catch when you need it. So if we can sign him for a reasonable price we get a dang good player for a nice price if that is possible. So when we go away from the power formations we bring in this guy and have a guy who is perfect as a slot guy.

By the way he is listed at 5'11 so not sure were the 5'9 came from. No he isn't big but he is very quick. He actually reminds me of Derrick Mason. And as for the Rams fan that says he isn't worth it I guess that depends on what we can sign him for. Really good return guy and a guy like Mason who seems to get enough seperation to get the 1st down. So if the price is right I'd sign the guy in a hot minute.

Perhaps nate could restructure. He is our best wide out like it or not.

Don't forget last year there were times we didn't know if Nate was going to play the next week due to being banged up he took a lot of big hits including one game where they had a player literally had to carry him off the field to avoid getting penalized.I think Ruston must realize that he is getting older and is probably trying to replace him with a younger and cheaper player who can give us the same production.

If we can get Amendola, I'm fine with trading Nate, but I will still miss him either way.

    Love that guy.
