I was hoping we would get a 5th over a 7th but eh, we usually make some decent picks in round 7.

Except you can't trade compensatory picks - League rule.

The Titans have been awarded three compensatory picks for next month’s NFL draft.

Tennessee added a third-round pick (97th overall), a sixth-round pick (202nd overall) and a seventh-round pick (248th overall), giving the Titans nine picks in the seven-round draft.

The compensatory picks were based on the fact the Titans lost three significant players in free agency during the 2012 offseason – cornerback Cortland Finnegan and defensive ends Jason Jones and Williams Hayes – and didn’t sign any free agents.

Tennessee did sign guard Steve Hutchinson and defensive end Kamerion Wimbley during the 2012 offseason, but because those players had been released by their teams, they didn’t fit into the same category.

The Titans were one of just three teams, along with Houston and Kansas City, that were awarded a third-round pick. A total of 16 teams were awarded the 32 compensatory picks this year.

Like drafting Scott Solomon instead of trading a 7th round pick for Asante Samuel?

But other than Finnegan, who have we taken in the 7th that turned out to be good?

Well, keep in mind I consider most 7th rounders just impact players on special teams......

    Campbell
    Mariani
    Reynauldo Hill
    Carlos Hall
and well Bishop was an 8th rounder......
