Ogletree in the 2nd would be SICK. He's gonna be a monster in the NFL. Definitely the best ILB prospect in the draft. I don't see him falling out of the first round though.

But if we end up deciding to take a guard in the 1st, I'd love to trade back, pick up another 3rd along with Warmack/Cooper, and then trade our 2nd and the 3rd we pick up to get back into the 1st and take Ogletree.

I actually disagree with Ogletree being top ILB prospect in the draft. Yes, I think he will be great and yes, I believe he fits much better in the 4-3 than the 3-4 but I think Arthur Brown is the best kept secret in this year's draft. Ogletree reminds me of Brian Urlacher which is fantastic while Brown reminds me of a cross between NaVarro Bowman and Ray Lewis (but without the passion that RL brought to the game). I'd be happy with either, but would prefer Brown. These are my comparisons for ILB in the draft..

    Alec Ogletree - Brian Urlacher
Arthur Brown - NaVarro Bowman/Ray Lewis
    Manti Te'o - James Laurinaitis/DeMeco Ryans
Kevin Minter - Brandon Spikes/Al Wilson
Jon Bostic - Poor man's Patrick Willis

I love Ogletree's game, but I think he is trouble. I bet he violates the drug policy in his first 2 seasons in the league.

I want Keenan Allen in the 2nd.

Ogletree is actually a top 5 pick talent wise. The kid is a BEAST and totally controls the whole middle of the field.

I would love the idea of selecting him with the #10 spot. But you're right, we probably could trade down to around #20 to get him, but I highly doubt he makes it that far.

I highly highly doubt he falls to the 2nd and like I said before, we don't need to trade back past Pitt to get him because they have a need there. I really think he would be worth the pick at 10, grab a DE or OL in the 2nd and 3rd. The talent gap between the DE and G between the first and 3rd rounds are not that great.

    How about this:

1st - Ezekiel Ansah, DE, BYU
2nd - Keenan Allen, WR, CAL
    3rd - Barrett Jones, C/G, Alabama
3rdC - Terry Hawthorne, CB, Illinois
4th - AJ Klien, ILB, Iowa St
I don't think Ogletree will fall to the 2nd, but what about Keenan Allen. Most sites project him as a late 1st, but what if he slipped to the 2nd. Teams i've seen him mocked to:

Chicago - Marshall & Alshon, need OT
Rams - No arugment here, may opt for safety if they go OG with 1st pick
Vikings - Just signed Jennings, still need help. Could see Tavon or Hopkins.
Texans - Also need a WR, Keenan could be in play. They need a guy to stretch the field however, Hopkins or Tavon make more sense.
Patriots - Just signed Amendola, not a huge need anymore.
49ers - Drafted AJ Jenkins 1st last year, need secondary.

I'd throw in Balty as well, but they need OLB, ILB, and S much more.

Ansah provides that potential 10+ sack guy we need. Keenan is a future #1 WR. Barrett Jones fights for a starting interior OL spot. Hawthorne is a little known prospect, but is 6'0 ran a 4.4 and plays very physical, he's a taller ATV. Klien is McCarthy replacement once he gets hurt, since Brad Jones left us. Fills all our needs and we still have 4 more picks to go.

I Could get behind this draft, but I think I would rather have Star at 10 ... but I would be happy with Ansah too.

Keenan Allen reminds me a bit of Kendall Writ, do we need 2 of those kinds of guys?

I'm kinda hoping for Quinton Patton in the 2nd. Ansah, Star, Warmack, or Milliner in the 1st. That would make me happy.
