Even for 6'8" this guy carries his weight really well.

Yep, you just said it. Nobody thought AP would come back from an ACL injury and rush for 2000 yards... and he did.

At 6'8", is anyone else thinking of this guy's amazing potential to block throws and disrupt throwing lanes? We saw how JJ Watt was able to impact games with this skill. If this guy has an even decent vert he could really excel in that department. Other than beefing up our line maybe this is what our staff had in mind.

Certainly a big bodied guy who has some experience playing on the end of the LOS. Certainly is not an every down DE in a 4-3. Williams has always been a 4-3 type of guy and I think we will mainly be that type of team. We will have the personnel to play multiple looks.

I still think that OG, DE, and CB are our top needs and would expect our pick to come from that group.

I freaking love this signing just as much as I loved the Sammie Hill one. Does anybody else think this signing means we're leaning towards playing Klug a little more at DE this season?

Think about it...we're lacking good backup DE's, and having a rotation of Sammie Hill, J Casey, Ropati, and Mike Martin will be more than enough at DT...Klug has always been a liability against the run at DT, but he's a great pass rusher...he's also the perfect size(after he sheds a couple of pounds) to play 43 DE.

Regardless...I think our D-line is worlds better with these big boy signings, and it's not like they're just big boys...they're good football players.

    1st group: Morgan-Casey-Sammie Hill-Wimbley
    2nd group: Rookie-Martin-Ropati-Klug

Not to mention we'll have the option of moving Klug to DT and Ayers to DE in passing situations...

    That's pretty nasty right there....

No way we brought in Pitoitua to play DE in the 43...either we're planning on putting him at DT, or we're planning on playing some 34(where he would play DE).

Let's face it Dawson and Solomon aren't going to see the field...it's going to be a rookie and(if it goes my way) Klug...Heck, the FO has addressed dang near everything I hoped they'd address(and more) this offseason so why not go with what I say one more time!!!(or more if we draft the guys I want lol)...what I'm wondering is how the hell we haven't gone over the cap yet...We haven't even cut Amano!!!
