Problem is, another Calvin Johnson prospect won't be available until when.... best chance is Dorial Green-Beckham in 2015 (or '16, depending if he leaves early). Hopefully in two years we won't be a bad team still.

I don't think there is a chance we take Jones or any other center anywhere sooner than the 5th. Velasco played well this year and is considered a top 10 center. He's also only 1" shorter and 7 pounds lighter than Jones so size is not an issue. I don't think Barret Jones surpasses Velasco for another 2 years so he'd be a bad pick for us right now. Don't get me wrong Jones will eventually be better than Velasco but not for 2 or 3 years.

Now taking a beastly/mobile G like Jonathan Cooper to put beside Velasco would be amazing. Not only is Cooper a massive upgrade over the guy who currently plays there but he will make Velasco's job that much easier, thus improving the entire line. After solidifying our line for the nest 5 years we draft Robert Woods, Deandre Hopkins, Quitton Patton, or Hunter if he's there and give ourselves the chance to be a legitimate passing threat. We also free ourselves to take nothing but play makers/BPA for the next few drafts. I believe it to be absolutely necessary at the moment but I'm sick of drafting need first.

I heard McShay say Dobson can be like Britt without the nonsense. I don't like McShay/Kiper, but I do like Dobson. If he's there in the 3rd, I'd love to take him.

Who is the closest thing to Calvin Johnson, Julio Jones, or AJ green? I haven't been keeping up with WR because until now G/DT/DE was the biggest need.

He may not be a popular guy here but I think Dobson is a lot like Justin Gage but a little faster. Dobson has a legitimate NFL frame and has good hands. While he does not have elite deep speed he is a good route runner that can get open on deep and intermediate patterns. Dobson won't be a number 1 but he can be a great number 2

WR is a huge need, in the off chance Britt explodes, he is not the kind of person that we should let have ANY leverage. I am all for taking a WR very early.

I am honest when I say this, but taking a MLB and WR in 1 and 2 would get this most bang for our buck the next two years than any other position since we had a good free agency. The talent gap for all of our other needs is real small in rounds 1-3 so we could pick up a guard and safety in the third round and still walk away with someone like Rambo/Swearingin or Warford(I think that was his name.

I did a team mock draft that got lost with the board's problems yesterday. Had Dobson going to us in the fourth. Thought about using our comp pick on him, but I think I went with a CB instead.

If that happened this board would implode

It would, but find me one person on this board that has any faith that McCarthy is going to play in all 16 games next year.

Other than that, our starters are basically set.
