I like Sensabaugh too. I see the team though moving past Verner. Plus you need multiple good CBs. Al indications are the team wanted Stephen Gilmore last year and will not take a chance on losing out to a good CB this year. Unless, they can get a good safety. Vaccaro seems to be more desired than originally anticipated much like Marc Baron last year. We signed safeties but they are old. And I can see them wanting to move past Griffin after this season.

It makes sense for more than just the reasons JC mentioned.

Like I said in the other posts about Olgetree, he is a turnover machine that can lay some serious hits. Excellent in the run game and his freshman year he was a safety. He has coverage skills to stay with athletic tight ends which is what the league seems to be leaning on right now. I don't honestly know why he isn't being talked about more because the guy is a monster in the middle and would bring attitude, leadership, athleticism, and some serious hard hits and play making ability to our defense.

With that being said, he has had some character issues. Normally, this steers me away from players, but I think this guy is going to blow up in the league. No one can honestly say they have any faith that McCarthy is going to finish the season and lets just fix the problem with a guy who will provide an immediate impact from day one and really give us an outstanding linebacker group. I don't think he is a reach at 10, and I don't think he is going to be around much longer after our pick. Cincy, Pitt and of course the Ravens all have a need a MLB. I also feel like he will be the BPA at 10 also.

With WR this is both planning for the future, getting an impact right away and hopefully getting another guy for Locker to toss the rock to. We don't want to gamble on Britt. If he puts up serious yardage next year, great. But he will ask for a big payday and he is not someone we should invest in. Too much baggage and injury history to rely on. Washington is getting up there and it is concerning that he was put on the trade block. Wright is going to be a good player for us, but we still need someone across from him. I think it is almost a certainty we take a WR early.

I can really see that, but if we had went 8-8 last year I might agree 100%.

But Munch and company are in win as much as you can mode right now. That is why you saw Pollard and Wilson come in and I don't think these corners are as polished as they should be.

One thing that would be great if we took a WR in the first. It would give TWW2 something new to ***** about for at least 18 months.

Yeah, but how much say does Munch have? It is not like with Fisher and the later years with Reese where Fisher could go cry to Bud and get his way. I think this is all on Rusty.

If we were to go with a LB at 10 overall I'd rather see us go with Arthur Brown out of Kent St. Brown is a super athletic guy who (IMO) has the best instincts of any LB in this class. He maybe be slightly undersized (6`1, 240lbs) but he plays bigger then that and is a workout warrior/film junkie according to his coaches which is something I like as your Mike backer is supposed to be the QB of the defense

It is, and I sure Munch has a good amount of say. I also think Rusty might be getting close to the chopping board as well. Bud didn't seem like he wanted to wait around and I wouldn't be surprised to see a whole bunch of turnover next year if Bud is unhappy.

Every year there's an outcry for us to draft a WR in the first. Every year. When Webster gets fired we should just hire Matt Millen.

I am not saying first this year, or even last, which really caught me off guard. I am not real big on any receiver this year but they have some good prospects in round 2-4 which I think we should pick up one atleast by the third.

Shocking it took that long for a Matt Millen reference.

Oh for sure. It would be wise. Kenny will not be here long term:
    • If he plays well some sucker of a team will over pay him and he will be another fat albert
    • If he plays like crap then, well, Jeff Fisher will over pay him to go to the Rams
Plus it would be wise to look for a replacement for Hawkins.
