Vandy is probably the only legit SEC team in term of academics. Missouri and Texas A&M... maybe.

I'm sure even Vandy fudges the grades a bit, but not to the extreme.

    ESPN is running with it.

The smoke is thick. The allegations are probably true but it will be difficult to prove.

    Same with SCam.
99.9% of people believe he was paid, hell most Auburn fans and alum I know admit it. There just isn't any proof.

The NCAA has zero interest in actually nailing any major program. There is to much money to be lost.

If Auburn loses a national title and gets a 2 year bowl ban it hurts the school, conference, networks, sponsors, media and even the NCAA.

The NCAA is dirty. They act concerned buy truly they couldn't care less.

Didn't they do that with USC and on a minor level, Ohio St?

I am not really for paying athletes, but it is getting to the point where the NCAA needs to either stop giving a **** about this or pay them. Everyone knows it is going on with every big time school in the country.

    Look what happened with UNC.
    That went away rather quickly.

It didn't help that everyone from the ACC commissioner to the lead investigator was an UNC alum. Nothing really came down there, surprise.

Ohio State was not really punished all that severely. Their recruiting didn't take a hit, they got a rock star for a coach and are on track to play in the BCS title game next year. NCAA slapped them on the wrist but honestly the violations were not severe to begin with.

The NCAA could send an investigation team onto any major campus in the country and if they wanted to, they could find enough to shut just about anyone down. They have no reason to unless the media forces their hand as was the case for OSU and USC.

The NCAA compliance officer on every campus is nothing but cover for the school. It is a joke.

Think about it, if the NCAA turned up evidence that the media did not have, do you really believe they'd drop the hammer on a major money making program or would they sweep it under the rug?

Probably now with the recent recruits they're getting. They're not quite like the ones they had pre-Franklin.

Up in big 10 land they just molest children while the head coach, athletic director, and higher ups cover it up.

But ****ing Bruce Pearl gets fired for having a damn BBQ.

    Ridiculous.

They're already paid in a sense, might as well put em on a payroll and get on with it.

Adding a playoff system is great, now stop enslaving your players NCAA. Compensate them accordingly. Football players get cars and watches, and the volleyball team gets to wash their cars.

When I hear news like this I'm like whatevs
